Albert Lee and Hogan's Heros - I'm Ready It's a fun song, and there's a story to go with it: My father's longtime friend and bandmate Bill passed away recently and bequeathed me some stereo equipment including a multi-disk CD player. It was a great gift, but when setting up the system I discovered something that made it even better. Fallen inside the player were a bunch of his old CDs! Some of the disks include David Sanborn, Aretha Franklin, Flim and the BB's, and Allison Krause. This song is the first track of the first disk of his I played. He was a steel guitar player and this album has some fantastic steel action. I grew up listening to Bill and my dad play, so having a surprise piece of his CD collection is pretty special to me. Thanks for all the memories, and RIP Bill! Very cool! 👍😎

Written by Bono this a powerful song and a musical masterpiece. If you choose not to listen that is your loss.

The dishwasher. It keeps repeating an obscene phrase that I shall not reproduce here out of respect for tender virginal ears.

The dishwasher. It keeps repeating an obscene phrase that I shall not reproduce here out of respect for tender virginal ears. In high school, I made deliveries for one of the local pharmacies. One of my regulars, an elderly lady, told me once that her air conditioner played music at night -- "Let Me Call You Sweetheart". Then she sang a couple of choruses of "Let Me Call You Sweetheart". Then she told me she slept with a gun under her pillow. I quit the premises.

I was in the audience for that one. Seated a bit to stage left in the photo not too far back. One great performance. The real show stopper that night was Jimi. ALmost no one in audience knew him as he had only recently returned from London and had been hanging on the East Coast. Minds were blown that night. Then came "The Who" and they also were impressive.

His acoustic performances went unnoticed for many decades. He had a lot more in him than just Acid Rock. "Little Wing" remains one of the prettiest songs ever. I loved the man back then and was devastated when he died.
