My mom bought me a new zippo for Christmas and I've carried it with me every day since. My other 2 finally got to take a break after 10+ years of daily use. The one from my mom has been missing for a few days and I figured it was in the truck or car considering I've been bouncing back and forth for work. Today I found it in the bottom of the washing machine and the painting was washed right off of it  I sent them a message and explained that it was my fault anyway, but I didn't think it would wash right off like that. Anyway, I ended up getting sucked into their website and I now have 4 new ones on their way to me 🤦♂️ |

I have a tweaked zippo case, rendering it useless. I guess I should see if I can buy just a case…. I don’t need 4 more Zippo’s like some crazy people do.

My smoking schedule isn't regular enough to use Zippos. Ninety percent of the fuel disappears into the atmosphere. But… the Zippo has no equal out in a breeze. A match, butane can be rendered useless in the slightest breeze. The Lighters that use non- compressed fuel, Zippo, Beatty, Nimrod are far better. I carry fuel in a Zippo fuel canister and just charge as needed up on the reservation or wherever since smoking in hotels is not possible. www.zippo.com/products/fuel-canisterNot TSA approved, but they have never taken mine. |

Oh, they're fine lighters. They just need to be used frequently if you don't want to waste most of your fuel.

I buy quart cans of naphtha for work and that's ehst I use to fill mine. I've been using the same quart for wrll over a year now.
I keep normal lighters everywhere, but my zippos are my go-to

If I am smoking outside, it's either a cob or my Mr Brog with the wind cap. So I use the big torch lighter I use to burn leaves. It doesn't blow out.

The Barling-Benjamin Fossil 1820, that I was told would be here on Friday, showed up in my mailbox today. It's a lovely, sandblasted poker, that sports some nice ring grain, and it'll be my first 9mm filter pipe. I'm loading it with Sutliff's Estate Blend for the break-in.

Back in the day, I found a Zippo on the street that had been run over, I sent it in and they sent me a new one, as well as the old one, wrapped in a note saying how sorry they were that they couldn't repair the old one. |
