I received KBV Dark Fired Cherry and Oriental Affair. I appreciate the sealed heavy Mylar bag packaging. Now I need to wait for some jars to become available before I try them.

I met the guy at the Vegas pipe show, his name is not Ken Byron but he was a really cool guy. In the pipe community, sometimes on an initial meet it exceeds your expectations, on some they act like you are in their way as they promote themselves. Few are on the latter, most are in the former… KBV dude is in the former.

I have some Brown Flake, Rum Twist, and Dark Plug still in those same mylar bags from KBV from early 2020 and they're all still just fine. I gave away the rest of the Dark Fired Cherry, I'd been using it and mixing in other tobaccos before that.

Just received the latest addition to my collection of Ehrlich meerschaums. This one is unsmoked and for perspective, is a bit over eight inches long. Probably late 60’s to early 70’s. I’m super happy

Sweet looking Meersdchaum, Ted!
I received an assortment of 18 cigars, now my humidor is maxed out.
No more pipes on my overnite runs, just a lighter and a single tube cigar container, makes for a much easier trip.

This: And this: The tobacco smells great. The pipe has such a loose stem it will fall out if you point it down. Emailed the vendor to see what they want to do. Sigh. The last two “special” edition MM cobs have had issues. One, I bought direct from MM and when I sent them pictures of the split shank, which was also loose, their solution was to tell me to put some Superglue in the crack and white Elmer’s glue on the bowl/ shank junction. Wow! Great service….😖

That sucks Don, it sounds like they lost their way since 2017 on special edition pipes.

Follow up to my poorly fitted MM cob pictured above. SmokingPipes is sending me a new one and does not need the defective one back. The customer service person who answered my complaint was very pleasant, apologetic and responsive. Great support from SmokingPipes. Thanks Eryn!

The moral of this story is buy from SP and not directly from MM.

G.3 slim extra strong from SnusCentral. I usually wait untill they have a sale or deal going on. This time it was a buy 10 get 2 free. My order came in 3 or 4 days from Sweden which is very normal for them. I got my order and was missing the extra 12 cans. Thought about it and sent an email explaining the mistake on the back of the email invoice they sent me. They already sent and email back and tracking # the 12 cans are on their way. SnusCentral has great customer service about 12 hours after notification of a mistake it was corrected to me that is excellent customer service!

Heck Duane, that is a nice looking briar.
A two-shave bowl if you do such things… shave once, smoke a bowl and it is time to shave again.

Kind of pissed at the mailman.
A month ago my pipe shipped from England, the Royal Mail has had a major problem wit their software.
Yesterday the mailman did not knock as three adults were 20’ away from the door, signature required but he hung a tag saying that we can pick it up after 4 PM at the PO on Monday when I leave for Vegas at 4 AM.
No one came to the door today.
No $40 tip for him next year…. Easier to make the delivery than hanging a notice.

A couple of weeks ago, I got a notice of attempted delivery of a certified letter in my mailbox. The post woman didn’t knock or ring the doorbell, I heard her putting mail in the box (on the house) and nothing else. I never get certified letters so I was curious. The notice said to pick it up after 3pm the next day and told me which post office to go to, which was odd since it wasn’t my regular office. Next day, I got to the post office at about 4pm, handed the notice to the clerk and waited. The branch manager came out and said that they were looking for the letter, but while I wait, could I complete a positive survey on my phone for that branch because the post office was considering closing it. So I said sure. The survey took fifteen minutes. Then someone else came out and asked me if I could do another survey, meanwhile, no letter. Another fifteen minutes later the manager came out and said my delivery person used the wrong notice and my letter was at my regular office. By that time it was too late to make it there before they closed. So the next day, I went to my regular post office, waited in line for twenty minutes and gave the notice to the clerk. She walked in the back and was gone for about ten minutes. She asked to see my drivers license, looked at it and the letter and said “You shouldn’t have gotten this, it’s for your neighbor’s house”. I wasn’t even upset, it just seemed like the screwed up way things seem to be working (or not) anymore.

That sucks, Ted!
Burning the fuel and time because of laziness of the carrier.
Tip: If you are on the right side of the law, Best let the certified mail languish.
Someone else is on the hook, and whoever sent the certified mail needs to do the legwork.
