Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Tuesday cob and coffee. Did some errand running with my wife, Friar's Bayou and one of my pipes along for the ride. Now, more Friar's Bayou in the same pipe.

Ron has developed into a very competent pipe maker over the years. I met him in our pipe club about 10 years ago when he was starting out in pipe making after retirement. His pipes are almost sold out at Blue Room Briars: www.blueroombriars.com/collections/ranz-freehands and he has his own website: www.ranzpipes.com/shop.html#/. I particularly like the ones he calls "Driftwood pipes". They are very reasonably priced and he knows how to drill the holes very well so that they smoke good. He does it as a hobby and not as a profession.

Scottish Cake in the Grabow Freehand.
This tin was a few years old when I opened it. I didn't really care for it, so I put it in a jar. It sat for about a year and now I can't get enough of it. This has happened with a handful of tinned blends.
