Yes. Unfortunately, he can no longer make pipes. oh no! sorry to hear that. he was very talented. I guess you had missed the news… in the Fall of 2019, Rob was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. He is stable and doing fine after going to the Univ. of Michigan hospital to have his spleen removed as well as participating in a drug therapy study. So, he's doing well in general but tires easily. Thus, the physical work of pipe making is beyond him now. Also, do not ask about Ollie… Piper lives with Rob and Ash now. Hmmm… since we're on the topic… are you aware that Basil Meadows has retired from pipe making after his open heart surgery in 2020.

My first smoke in any pipe is usually 5100. I don't have a jar out, and I dont feel like digging for one. So, Stonehaven gets the maiden voyage with the new to me Radice.

He still attends pipe shows and brings the boxes. I was lucky enough to get one of his last six available pipes at the Columbus Show in 2021. If you haven’t, send Basil a friend request on FB as he posts pics of his work.
