45 minutes on a trusty horse. But… it is a pretty quick trip to SF from ABQ, made it more times than I can count. SF is a better place to bunk down in, but I wish in my travels I had the time to visit Don. Going to have to happen on my own dime. Don is a really nice guy, he ranks number 1.5 on my preference of hanging out with a pipe maker. adui holds numero uno. Wow! Thank you Charlie! You should hear what he says when you're not here.

GBD Tapestry Bent Bulldog full of Burley Bright Without a Bite... A large cup of black coffee on the side.. You are enjoying that BLWB often; is that some that you got in one of my 5 lb. grab boxes?

2021 Warped Cloud Hopper in a Dagner Pipes Design poker cob. I dislike the generic overuse of the term "underrated" in general these days, but this is likely the best sleeper pipe tobacco I've smoked these past few years. This blend still has no reviews (somehow) on TR, and yet, it's the best AA Dominican Criollo leaf in ANY blend. I have pounds of C&D Habana Daydream, I quite like G.L. Pease Key Largo, and I love blending well-aged C&D Pennsylvania broad leaf cigar wrapper into blends to change them up. This cloud hopper is Dominican Criollo, Perique, yellow & red VA, and a smidge of Italian air-cured leaf pressed and sliced into flakes. It's the only cigar blend I've come across that doesn't taste like a pipe tobacco but truly tastes like a complex Dominican cigar in the pipe. This would also include the several defunct McClelland cigar blends of old. It's really aging beautifully in the jar as well. I already put 6 more tins of this in the cellar but will be stashing many more. I've also been stocking all the other Warped blends based on this and I haven't even popped any of them yet. Very interesting. Where can I buy some of this Warped Cloud Hopper? Have you tried any of the John Patton blends that have cigar leaf in them?

I've not tried the new re-release John Patton blends. Warped is a partnership series from Kyle Gellis of Warped Cigars and Jeremy Reeves of C&D (produced by C&D) and it's available on SmokingPipes. I see that it's currently out of stock. You can send me a PM with your address info and I can get you a sample out sometime soon if you want to try some, John. I've not seen it out of stock before, maybe folks are catching onto it.

I found a baggie marked Derby Club Aromatic, yesterday, that smells for all the world like seasoning salt. I don't recall that aroma in my last taste of D.C.A., and I think I may have mixed this small amount with something else...but not seasoning salt. I smoked a bowl in a cob, and smoke is savory, but not salty...now, mixed with equal amounts of Sutliff's Estate blend and Captain Black Royal, and packed in my Old Dominion Stack billiard, it a fine sweet/savory smoke. The baggie in question was packed away in a rush, back in November, so I don't think I'll ever really know what's in it...But I will smoke it!

Good Morning! It's 30° here with a clear sky. Today will be an admin day making phone calls and setting up appointments. Me first pipe o'the day is a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the other Savinelli Venere 126 and there's a fresh mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket.

Good Morning Again! It's 39° here with a clear sky and bright sunshine. Finishing up my time in the workshop with a bowl of Wessex Brigade Campaign VA Flake in the Sav rusticated billiard. This is really one deep, rich tobacco and the best flake that I smoke. Unfortunately, it's also out of stock as well as the Wessex Brown VA Flake at the online retailers that I buy from, so I ordered some tins of my other regulars. There's coffee left in the mug so I'll finish it up and then head back to the house. Have a good one, my friends!

A real Hodge-podge leftovers mixture of Grousemoor, Cloud Hopper, and possibly some flecks of a couple others like Uno and Cringle Flake. In a Mark Twain cob. Actually tasting pretty interesting. Mostly like Cloud Hopper Criollo cigar leaf with just faint hints of the Grousemoor lemon verbena flavor.

OGS in the Peterson 15. Been away for a bit, got a 3d printer and fell down the 'learning CAD' rabbit hole... . Been eyeballing a 3D printer for a while. But can’t justify another hobby. But I’m still curious what model you got? and hope it works out for you.
