Good Morning! It's 39° here with a clear, starry sky and moonlight. More laundry to do this afternoon and I think that my dear wife is going out shopping. The Guardians beat the Yankees yesterday 3-2 in the first game of a three game series. Plenty of good action. Getting the smoking day started with a bowl of Wessex Brigade Campaign VA Flake in my favorite billiard, the BBB Two Star Special, and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket.

Good morning. Coffee with Old Black Magic in a BBB apple.... That's one beautiful BBB, William! Thanks. It is small and perfect for a short smoke. I agree with your sentiment in another thread about smaller (and narrower) pipes being ideal for flake tobacco. We also seem to have similar tastes in tobaccos....

Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop and coffee on the back porch. Beautiful spring day here. The lawns getting its first mowing of the season. More miscellaneous cleaning outside.

We also seem to have similar tastes in tobaccos.... You're right there, William. The narrower bowls focus the flavor more than a larger bowled pipe with a broader burning surface area. What flakes do you like?

Last night was John Patton's Storm Front in a 5th Ave Let Freedom Ring cob with a dark orange swirl Forever stem, followed by some 2022 C&D Folklore in a sandblasted Roswitha Anderson apple.
Now smoking 2021 Haunted Bookshop in a Mark Twain cob. Hit 75 degrees here today for a high.

Good Morning! It's 55° here with a mostly cloudy sky, hazy moonlight, and one of the workshop doors is wide open. This afternoon I have an appointment to have my eyes examined at the veterans clinic in Canton, so that'll be the big trip for today. I'll take along the Mark Twain cob and some tobacco for the ride. The smoking day has begun with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Don Carlos Two Note and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the tobacco table.

Smoking Derby Club Aromatic in an Alpha pedestal pipe, with black coffee on the side. This was my third pipe purchase, back in 1979, and it was made in Israel...a great smoker from day one, even if I was too much of a newbie to know it back then!
