Good Evening! It's 77° with a hazy, sunny sky out here on the deck. I made my rounds and now's the time to just sit and decompress until dinner. Listening to my streaming Amazon light jazz selections and smoking a bowl of Peterson Flake in the BBB billiard with a bottle of cold water on the side. Have a great night, everybody!

I've just got one and I'm ready glad I got it before BC went belly up the prices are ridiculous now. However, knowing how it smokes I would probably be willing to pay over 250 for one.

I've just got one and I'm ready glad I got it before BC went belly up the prices are ridiculous now. However, knowing how it smokes I would probably be willing to pay over 250 for one. Two of mine are unsmoked, which makes me happy. Also one I have is unusual in that it has a flat bottom chamber which I understand the originals in the 19th century had, as well as sterling metal work instead of nickel like most and a genuine bird bone instead of simulated like most of them, that I got from a seller in Italy some years ago. Maybe an early 2nd generation? I don’t know, I’ve never talked to anyone who knows more about these than I already do. There are cheaper options, I have seen a number of no brand ones that are either marked Saint-Claude, METZ or nothing at all that seem almost identical, but the wood usually has defects or fills and the metal work is plainer. These seem to sell for half the price of the BC ones. I’m smoking Key Largo in a meerschaum billiard.

Thank you Zarnicky, Ed, and Herb for your wishes for wellness. I smoked my cob on the way home and I just came in the house a few minutes ago. Everything's okay, just standard procedure stuff before surgery. The EKG showed there's absolutely nothing wrong with my heart, my lungs are clear, I had a blood test, and answered a lot of questions. Next up is my orthopedic surgeon tomorrow and that's routine as well. Pipe time on the deck soon! Last time Zarnicky having blood test, man before me say he had to have urine test too. Man not knowing this and he went to bathroom just before. He having nothing to give. Zarnicky good person so I filling cup for him.

EGR Mixture with a large pinch of Black Frigate mixed in. I call it "Sea Wolf Blend" after EGR's movie of the Jack London book. That is super cool. I enjoyed that book, will have to check out the movie. Was planning to get some EGR on the next go 'round, so I might add a tin of Black Frigate as well and give "Sea Wolf Blend" a try!

Up early this morning and smoking some Bengal Slices gifted by in a Savinelli Champagne chubby billiard. Drinking JFG coffee. Contacted my neighbor's favorite plumber and he is coming out today to give me an estimate on replacing my dead water heater. He said it runs anywhere from $800-$1000, depending on the difficulty of the job! He also said that the price estimate includes the water heater! My job will be difficult so it will be a little more expensive than his estimate, but that is still much more reasonable than the $2475 estimate from the other plumber.

Good Morning! It's 53° here with a mostly cloudy sky and one of the workshop doors is wide open. Later on I have an appointment with my orthopedic surgeon and that will probably be a review of what to do prior to surgery. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Peterson Rosslare 106 and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. A great day to you all!

Smoking a mix of my own I call Lion and lamb mix, in the Savinelli Hercules 619, coffee on the side. Seems fitting to smoke Lion and Lamb in a Hercules. What's the mix? L & L was born when a dear old friend, Larry Ream{no longer with us}sent me about a pound of P.S. Balkan Supreme. Larry had pressed some Middleton Walnut into a plug and topped it with Bushmills Irish whiskey...and the flavor of that plug crossed over to the B.S. in shipment. This was in 2007 or 08. I tried adding one English, and then another, to tone down the whiskey note, but nothing really helped until, in I got hold of some Lancers slices {the Lion} in 2009, the first year I began to date my jars, I think. Time in the darkness of my cellar has left the mix with a deep, rich stewed fruit-like quality, that I can best describe as pungent; this is also true of the 09 Lancers, but the L & L is special to me, because of it's connection to an old friend.

Good Morning Again! It's a pleasant 70° with a mix of clouds and bright sunshine out here on the deck. I came home from my surgeon's office an hour ago where I was asked the usual blah blah questions from someone from admin. My Dr. took a few minutes to verify the procedure with me, the date of surgery, etc. and that's the end of the aggravating appointments. Currently smoking a bowl of Bayou Morning Flake in the Pete smooth billiard and there's a bottle of cold water on the side. Time to read my book for a while followed by brunch.

This morning I started with my Storm Front/Prince Albert mix in a Made in London England brandy, with a gray acrylic stem, and a stain that was once ox-blood, but has turned a dark cherry from tobacco oils and my D.N.A.

Good Afternoon! It's 77° with a mix of clouds and sunshine out here on the deck right now. I cleaned up the kitchen and put my own Paperwork Reduction Act in force. I had multiple copies of stuff from the Dr. and hospital so it's down to just one bulging file. Currently smoking a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Pete smooth billiard and there's a glass of cold tea on the side. Time to open my book. Have a good night, everybody!
