I needing help! Zarnicky has 21 pipes. I needing to buy another new pipe. Dunhill too expensive for Zarnicky. I not owning Peterson because I not trusting "System". Are they good? Vauen pipes very nice. I having many of them. I also having some Sanvinelli pipes. Zarnicky like smoking pipe with filters. I needing suggestions.

There are restrictions on who can buy a Peterson system pipe. I doubt you would qualify.

If you like filtered pipes, you might want to check out some of Rattray's offerings. I have a nice Rattray's poker that uses a 9mm filter and is a good smoker. If you want to try a Peterson in a non-system format, they make an Army filter range that might be worth checking out.

I can't particularly recommend any filter pipes other than the ones you've mentioned. I would just pick the pipes that use the filters you like. If you like the 9mm filters then the Savinellis, and Vauens, Rossi, and whatnot are probably your best bet. There is a brand of Canadian filter pipes, Brigham pipes, that use "Canadian rock maple" inserts as filters, but I haven't heard anything good about their filters. I've heard their pipes are ok without the filters, though.  |

You should check out The Pipe Nook. It's an online shop, and the owner (Eddy Gray) only smokes filter pipes, himself. He carries a lot of them and knows a lot about them, as well as the different types of filters. He'll be happy to help you.
Not all Peterson pipes are System pipes, and they do make some filter pipes. They may or may not be for you, but they do make them.

I’m very happy with my Veun also and have used their filters from time to time. All Zarnicky's Vauen pipes are good smokers. I loving this pipe but it no longer availiable. |

Meanwhile over here it is illegal to sell a suppressor without jumping through the federal hoops.
In Europe they are thought of as hearing protection/ mufflers and can be bought over the counter.
