Up from needed nap after another great day with ye ol' gals. PerettiBritish, Ascorti panel billiard & Coke at desk, following golf on TV. Hope all having a nice Sunday.
74, a few clouds, otherwise great temps compared to those heat-stricken
Onward to real easy sups

Good Evening! It's 74° with a mix of clouds and bright sunshine out here on the deck and I'm taking a break from goofing off. Currently smoking a bowl of Bayou Morning Flake combined with a some Haunted Bookshop in the Sav smooth billiard and there's a bottle of cold water on the side. Have a great night, everybody!

Good Morning! It's 56° with a clear sky here at first light. Nothing but some laundry and kitchen cleanup chores for this afternoon, so I'll do a little reorganizing in the basement and spend time at the hobby workbench. Starting off the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Amorelli Three Star and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the workshop tobacco table. Have a good, safe one, everybody!

Happy last day of July! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Monday cob and coffee on the front porch. Low 70s and sunny, heading to about 80 here. Good day for mowing the lawn and tending the garden.

Good Late Morning! Like Pete said and the it's same here...74°, a mix of big white clouds and bright sunshine, but we have some haze, too, from the Canadian wildfires. Out on the deck enjoying the day and I made some calls catching up with a friend, my younger brother, and to PBS to renew my membership donation. After a bowl of fresh Peterson Flake, I'm currently smoking a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Amorelli before brunch.

On the back deck with some Friar's Bayou in the Monday cob and what's left of the coffee. The garden's watered, and I'm going to enjoy the peace and quiet before moving on to the next task. It's 76, mostly sunny with a light breeze here. Just about perfect.

I'm loading the Alpha Pedestal with an aromatic homemade mixture I call Morning Fog. I did some weed eating along the fence-line, but the heat ran me in when it passed 85 degrees. To combat any chance of poison oak, I showered with a grease removing soap, and if it works, it'll be a real blessing, as my weed eating is usually followed by a two week fight with poison oak.

Seven months down and five more to go. This last pipe day of the month will be consumed with a couple of bowls of Sugar Barrel in a Astley 109 Jermyn SI Bulldog... With a slight reprieve from the 100º + Actual Temps and 112º Heat Index and near 90% Humidity, I was able to get some of what the wife wanted done outside this morning before the heat came up to 91º with 45% Humidity... Being it's a dry heat I was able to withstand it better. I did sweat off 2.5 pounds so not all bad... A large cup of black coffee on the side while I prepare to study for the weeks classes... Puff On Me Hearties, Puff On...

Good Evening! It's a comfortable 77° with an almost clear sky and hazy sunshine out here on the deck. Today I lolled around and didn't get to do anything except for some household stuff. Just fed the neighbor's cat Timmy and our cat Lily. Timmy wolfed down his plate of food outside, but Lily will probably pick at her dinner in her typical spoiled way. Currently smoking a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Amorelli and there's a glass of cold water on the side. Have a great night, everybody!

Popped a 2020 tin of C&D Opening Night, which I got from Silver in a trade a couple years back. Just finishing my first bowl in my RDP strawberry briar blasted slight bent bulldog with midnight blue ebonite stem. A very tasty red and bright VA soft, broken flake. Needs a few more days to open up and breath in the tin. Was a nice sour fermentation smell going on initially upon opening.

Pegasus in the Monday cob. Cleaning up a new-to-me Dr. Grabow Viscount Continental shape 25. Cosmetically, it's in real nice condition. Just doing the salt/Everclear treatment and cleaning the airway of the stem.

Opening Night is one of my favorite post-McC Virginias but needs at least a year in the tin. At a year, I find it rather similar to Union Square but with more age, the two start differing more. Really tasty stuff, but kinda under the radar. I suggest trying Interlude for a red Va, but, again, age it at least a year.
