Finishing the bowl of Father Dempsey's with a water taking short break from weed eating. Whilst I have a kindred spirit to both Fr Dempsey, being a Dempsey myself, and those that smoke the blend, it is the only tobacco the mrs has banned me from smoking within 100 yds of any opening in the house... ... I guess she doesn't like it...

Enjoying back to back bowls of Mad Fiddler Flake in a couple slightly bent, sandblasted Savinelli Nonpareils. One's a billiard, the other a Dublin.

Good Morning and a Happy July 4th! It's a cool 65° with a partly cloudy sky here at first light and both of the workshop doors are wide open. Not much in the way of rain today and that'll be a welcome break, so I'll be out on the deck later on. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of Peterson Flake in a Savinelli Venere 128 and there's the usual travel mugga fresh coffee on the tobacco table. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday, everybody!

I had my first coffee of the morning out in the back porch swing, with Frank's Blend in the Hardcastle Executive. A mostly black cavendish blend, from Gatlin Burler, Frank's Blend has that rich, sweet aroma similar to a lot of black cavendish tobaccos, but unlike so many, it tastes like it smells, and relights are few...not bad, for the forth of July.

Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Tuesday cob and coffee on the front porch. Sunny, warm and humid with a small chance of scattered showers here. I'll water the garden anyway. Hope you all have a fun and safe Independence Day! For our friends in other parts of the world, have a nice day, as well.

Still recovering from dental surgery. Ten more days before I can smoke. Sorry Pete, you’ll have to have another bowl for me please. 🤗👍

Bayou Morning in a cob with some baby back ribs in the grill. Mashed potatoes and green beans for sides and a blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Happy Independence Day to my fellow Americans and a happy Tuesday to our other patchers

1999 McClelland #12 Oriental mixture in a slight bent Leonessa Briosa rusticated apple.
Hope everyone’s having a good 4th of July.
I’m cleaning my office and cleaning and reorganizing my cellar. This entails rearranging and mentally account for in some loose fashion, what’s oldest and what I’d like to smoke in what order, wiping down/dusting off my jars and tins, and I’ve moved 40 some jars into a new pipe cabinet next to my office bookshelf.
I figure for the holiday occasion I’ll be smoking mostly 20+ year old stuff for the day. I expect some 2001 Gallaher’s Rich Dark Honeydew flake will be up next. Most likely in a small, 1933 Dr Grabow De Luxe 9773 Bullcap.
