Good Afternoon! It's 83°, breezy,d with , white clouds sailing along and bright sunshine out here on the deck. Finally we have a nice day with lower humidity...61% right now. My physical therapist and I discussed the right way for me to get in and out of the car last week and I gave it a try earlier. I drove up to the local ice cream shop and picked up some large cups for Janet and I to enjoy while watching baseball tonight. Currently smoking a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the MM General cobwarden with an original Walker Forever Stem and there's a bottle of water on the side. Have a great evening, everybody!

Tobias Portsmouth Home Blend pressed into a crumble cake. I put it in one of my cobs. A rare treat for me now that summer is here. I've a cheap air purifier, but it takes a day or two to clear the air in my room after I've smoked so I don't push it.

Good Morning! It's 63° with a clear sky and a bright full moon setting here before first light. We're in for a hot one so the a/c will get a good workout. My physical therapist is stopping by in the afternoon and I'll have to make a supermarket run for coffee after she leaves. Ahhhh....No coffee! Starting the smoking day with a bowl of fresh HH Pure VA Flake in the Amorelli Three Star and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the tobacco table. Stay cool if you can, everybody!

Phooey. I sat outside for an hour and a half and there was no Rupture, apparently. I guess I'll reread When Prophecy Fails and double down for next year. Planet X or bust!
In the meantime, it's WCC Slice in a Pride. Iced decaf cold brew with a splash of milk on the side.

I’m smoking SG St. James Flake with my mind! Haha…. All kidding aside, eight days left before my follow up and dentist gives me the green light to smoke.

MacBaren Symphony in a small bent apple from Old Dominion, the first pipe my wife ever gave me, from our third Christmas as man and wife. It still has the original luster it had on that first day, back in 79. I was a total snob for acrylic stems in those days, and the vulcanite stem on this guy turns a yellowish green before you can finish the charring light...I tucked it away and never spoke of it, fetching it out only if she asked about it, and bragging about how well the finish was holding up. Now, over forty years later, I thought I was passed such silliness, but it's still a pain to look upon. I may keep it in action now, with the help of some cherry Chapstick to scrub away the nasty yellow oxidation, because it seems to be a good little pipe, and it was a thoughtful gift.

Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Wednesday cob and coffee on the front porch. It's mostly sunny, hot and humid here. There's a light breeze off the lake, which helps a bit. Aside from watering the garden, I'm not doing much else out in the yard today. We're pickling jalapeño and Thai peppers today. For dinner, it'll be pasta with a homemade red sauce with Italian sausage. That should keep me plenty busy. If I have time, I might get into the workshop later. Hooray for air conditioning.

The garden boxes, baskets and pots are watered. I'm back in the shade of the front porch. Not much of a breeze now. A bit stifling. Another bowl of Haunted Bookshop in the Wednesday cob before I go to work in the kitchen.

Good Afternoon! It's 90° with a light breeze, some white clouds drifting by, and bright sunshine out here in the yard. The heat on the deck is just unbearable, so I have a deck chair and cushion underneath a big tree next to the workshop and the shade makes it more tolerable. Currently smoking a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Mark Twain cob and there's a bottle of ice water on the side.
