Of what I have? Windjammer by gl pease. Its just a great navy Flake. Of what I lament not stocking on. McClelland oriental 14 as it was such a fantastic Oriental blend the one that turned me onto oriental blends and sadly I have none now and can't justify what it goes for on the secondary market when it pops up rarely as everyone was going nuts for frog Marton and their Virginia's.

Answer would vary at times, but it's probably Old Gowrie.

My favorite tobacco would have to be one that I can still buy. That also isn't the same as the best tobacco that I've ever smoked. There are a few favorites that I smoke, but the one that I always have the most of is HH Pure VA Flake. It's smooth, rich, and deep, but medium in those regards and easy to smoke.

If it's a burley-forward blend, with some perique, it's got my attention. Let's just go with Haunted Bookshop. But there a several others that I enjoy a lot.

A tie between C&D PirateKake & Capt.Earle 10 Russians. Both heavy on the latakia, if you don't like that type, just stay away from either
Presently using two with "only" mid-strength blends right now...Boswell RR Station & Wilke #400. When gone just move to something else.
Ed-at my age, 6lbs total is plenty

My favorite blend is something I do not like to talk about. Thanks for bringing up a very tough subject with me. I need a dark room for an hour to calm down.
McClelland 5100.
Damn, sorry I forgot the why. It blends with anything and tastes like sugar cookies on its own.

I’m hyper-sensitive to tongue bite. The only tabac I’ve found so far that I can smoke regularly is Sutliff’s Z92— Vanilla Custard Creme. So I’m kinda like the old-timers: a one-tobacco smoker. Sure wish I could enjoy the variety that most of friends here use, moving around between the many offerings. No can do.

Lane Leo which is an out of production Oriental forward mild English. The sweet and sour buttery Orientals just sing on my tongue. The closest in production blends are Germain 1820 and Rattray's Red Rapparee. I still have 82 tins of Leo and expect to be smoking it until I die.

It's pretty good stuff, I have 4 tins left, I only smoke it on occasion, and what I have left should last a good while. Thanks for bringing that one up, I might have to try some now.

G.L Pease Piccadilly because it is better than Frog Moton Cellar and I grew tired of ordering the unicorn fart of the month blend.

I prefer Sir Walter Raleigh Regular. It's inexpensive, has a great consistent flavor and is low in nicotine.

Overall, I’d say C&D Haunted Bookshop, because it’s burley-forward with a good burley flavor and strength profile for sipping in a cob. It’s got just a bit of red Virginia and Perique in perfect balance, and it’s my overall best all day, any time type of smoke.
That being said, I have a good 30 favorites or more so I’d feel like I’m leaving out many others that could also be my favorite smokes.
Best overall Virginia/Perique: Escudo and Sam Gawith St. James Flake Best overall Virginia flake: Sam Gawith Full Virginia Flake and Gawith Hoggarth Bright CR Flake Best aromatic tobaccos: Gawith Hoggarth Ennerdale Flake, Rum Flake, Dark Flake Aromatic, Bob’s Chocolate Flake, Kendal Flake Best English blend: G.L. Pease Renaissance and Renaissance Reserve Favorite all time out of production blend: McClelland Tudor Castle
I like to have plenty of nicotine in my pipe tobaccos so I choose aromatics that have full tobacco backbone behind them. Rum Flake tastes like rum and maple sugars and much like a Christmas cake tobacco but also will make you sweat and cry and have a panix attack if you don’t have a decent nicotine tolerance. That’s my style of smoking! If it doesn’t have nicotine, I don’t smoke it!

Many favorites were left out;
GH Broken Scotch Cake - a rough cake cut of flue-cured and sun cured bright/brown Virginias Best Brown Flake #2 - one of my favorite Virginia/Burley flakes
These two could easily go in for a 6-way tie for my favorite #1.

Virginia...Union Square Aromatic...Lane's TK-6 Burley...a very old jar of Edgeworth English...G.L. Peace Westminster i forgot the why too... As for VAs and English, these are the two that pop into view when I close my eyes and think VA and English. I don't have them on hand because I have more tobacco than I'll ever live to smoke...still, they remain on my bucket list. Aromatic, TK-6 is the best cherry I have found, with Sutliff's black Cherry close behind. Back in the day, my wife made me smoke T.B. Cherry every Christmas morning, and I hated it..., last year I found these two and I really like them, before that St George 's blend from Sutliff was tops by it's long gone. Burley...Edgeworth...if I had enough, I'd send a bowl to everybody , and just let it speak for itself.

I am sticking to C&D Billy Budd Blonde. My second is Seattle's Plum Pudding, these days.
Currently enjoying a blend called Boone's Pride, I picked up at a pipe shop in St. Charles MO. Specifically John Dengler Tobacconist, on Main St. The place is under new owner / new management. Very friendly folks.

Nope, no B.R.M, and it may sound imposable , but I don't think I ever smoked Haunted Bookshop either...I smoked lots of Morley's Best, and I remember thinking Haunted Bookshop didn't work for me, but looking back now, I think that was Baily's front Porch, and H.B. slipped by me.
