So which baccy(s) do you like the least?
For me it's anything from the the non HH Macbaren line. I find the tobaccos are quite flat and consistently bite me. I do, however, like their tin designs. đ
Mixture Scottish Blend would be the biggest offender of yuckiness.âšī¸

Hmm, I'll have to think about this one. I'm not prone to tongue bite, and, right at the moment, I can't think of a blend I just thoroughly disliked. One may come to me, though.

Escudo. Or M79. Probably hate M79 a little bit more.

I would have to say it's any Lakeland essence tobacco.

I would have to say it's any Lakeland essence tobacco. Are you of the opinion that every Gawith blend is a Lakeland? People seem to disagree on that.

The solution to Mac Baren McBite is age, Scottish mixture which you mentioned is a great example.
Mac Baren blends are great, they just need time.
I have gotten to the point that I never smoke anything fresh, especially in new releases, as oft is the case, fellow pipe smokers will say, âIt is good, this one will age wellâ or âGive it some timeâ.
MacB blends (in my opinion) should always be purchased with the mindset that they are cellar dwellers.
Putting that aside, tastes are subjective what others may deem rank and offensive, might put an arrow through your heart.
That is what the journey is all about.

I would have to say it's any Lakeland essence tobacco. I completely agree, and I remember 1792 as something I had to work at to finish, and yes, Mixture 79 works here too...but one that stands out for me is a bulk Sutliff offering called African Queen...I got a sample of Voo doo Queen one time at a local shop, when I went back wanting more, the shop owner, who didn't know Dunhill from Duncan Hill, sold me African Queen...the only blend ever to end up in the compost pile!

Waiting months to years, for a newly purchased tobacco to become smokable and non-bitey, is ridiculous and totally unacceptable...in my opinion. Cellaring isn't for everybody. Go with what works for you.

I can't think of any that I really can't stand. I do recall one aromatic once that wasn't great, but I can't remember the name. I'm happy with most - I'd even like to try CBG.

Any aromatic ... just can't stand all the chemicals, humectants, artificial flavoring, etc.

Dan Tobacco Hollys Non Plus Ultra is by far the worst blend I ever smoked. One bowl did it for me. I sent the rest to jiminks and he called me to rant about it for 2 hours.

Gotta echo many of the above, Mixture 79, the abomination Non-Plus Ultra or any Lakelands or any aros. Then again, some might go with...

Tough question here as I have been disgusted with quite a few over the years. Some of the ones that I can recall:
Royal Yacht, any of the Warhorse blends that the fellas created, Erinmore, M79, some crap from some island that came in a fat log, any Macbaren, anything that comes in a clear bag at the drugstore.
I am sure there are many others.

Stonehaven Tastes like that black cough syrup from the 1970s. That's curious, I found it to have no taste at all. But some would kill for it. Strange, isn't it?

When I was smoking my pipe I was not fond of "Bill Bailey's Balken Blend" made by Dan Tobacco.

1792 I dont like the topping I believe Lakelands are very tough to smoke. You either love them or hate them. I hate them. I'll add Bob's Chocolate Flake to the list too. I've tried and re-tried Bob's numerous times, and have bought and sampled several tins wanting to like it, but I just hate it. There is a very faint Lakeland essence in it and it that reminds me of my grandmother's perfume. yuck haha
