Good Morning Again! It's still 27° with a mostly clear sky here. The day should be milder and sunny. Finishing up a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Savinelli smooth billiard while sipping my coffee. I think that a bowl of Limerick Flake will be next. Now it's time to check the headline news before finding another streaming video to watch.

Just lit up a bowl of Wessex Brigade Campaign Dark Flake in the Sav smooth billiard and there's still some coffee left in the mug. I think that I'll do my daily online vintage railroad postcard search before heading back to the house.

Smoking a mix of three burleys, with Black & White Mistake#1 thrown in for good measure...it's a magical one hit wonder in the Caminetto 120 bent Dublin. I mixed this up at 3AM, sitting up with Buster, and his painful night of battling ear-mites.
Sharon took him to the Vet this morning, and they kept him...his sister, Sandy is most unhappy, and so am I.

Happy Friday! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Friday cob and coffee. Gonna be in the low-50s here with lots of sunshine today. I think I'll finish with the outdoor decorations today. Scaling back a little on that stuff this year.

Busy day. Physical therapy this morning, and ran a few errands. Came home to a box on the porch from Smokingpipes. Oh and I have a pork butt in the pellet smoker all day and it’s looking real good. Giving Arango Balkan Supreme a try in the Orlik De Luxe.  |

A bowl of Partagas in the Berkeley Bent... A bottle of water alongside... Matt, what time do we eat? , that is one fine looking butt! It didn’t come out so great. Ran out of pellets during the last hour of the cook. It cooked thoroughly, and we ate it, but it didn’t quite get to the proper temperature to render all the fat. The meat was rather chewy. |

This Arango Balkan Supreme is checking all the boxes for me. I only bought an ounce to give it a try. May have to go back and buy a pound. If you like Balkan Sobranie, this is a great alternative. It’s right up there with Sobranie, IMO. I’m on my third bowl today in the Orlik De Luxe.
The smoked pork butt was a bust. Ran out of fuel for the pellet smoker right at the end. I needed to get the meat about 10 degrees hotter to make iit really tender and delicious. We ate it, but I didn’t go in for seconds.

Good Saturday Morning! It's 26° here with a cloudy sky. Just some laundry to do this afternoon and I also have to scan my newest postcard that arrived in the mail yesterday. Getting the smoking day going with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the smooth bent Amorelli Three Star and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket.
