Good Morning! It's 60°, cloudy, damp, windy, and more like Spring here right now. The weather, however, will become chillier as the days go by. I have one of the workshop doors wide open and don't need anything more than the fleece blanket for some warmth. This afternoon I have to pick up our grocery order from BJ'S. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Savinelli Venere 128 rusticated billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Have a good one everybody!

Good Morning Again! It's now 56° here and still cloudy at first light. My tobacco order arrived yesterday so, combined with what I still have on hand, I have stacks of tins of fresh tobacco to get me through until late next month. Currently smoking a bowl of Pete Flake in the Savinelli rusticated billiard and slowly sipping my coffee. Time to check the headline news.

Happy Friday, all! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Friday cob and coffee. 40 and overcast here, after a night of steady rain. Backyard's flooded, but we are dry.

I’m smoking Capstan Gold, will probably continue with it until the evening. Right now I’m smoking it in a TV churchwarden.

Pete, How did the sourdough come out? Curious minds... It came out okay. It spread a little in the oven, because the dough was a bit wet. Should have refrigerated it a couple more hours. Still has a nice hollow sound when I tap on the crust. The true test will come with dinner. Made a loaf with all white bread flour for the first time. I've always made my loaves with 30% rye flour. The other loaf is also white bread flour, with the addition of rosemary and calamata olives. I like to experiment. Sounds like I need to spend a couple of days learning from you. I haven't had the time to try my effort again since the last abortion...

Drove daughter and SIL to the airport this afternoon. Had some Friar's Bayou in a Rossi Vittoria billiard on the way there, and a cigar on the ride home. Now, it's after-dinner smoke time. Haunted Bookshop in the Friday cob.

Last of the Billy Budd from 2011 in a Charles Towne Cobbler, I have really enjoyed this bend, It's been a good ride for Ole Billy and me, I got a fresher version laid back in the cellar, and I'm sure it will be just as good.

Apparently, the blend objects to me smoking it at this time of day, too. It flat does not want to burn.

Good morning! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Saturday cob and coffee. It's 38 here, and the sun's trying to peek through the clouds. It'll be mostly cloudy, though, with a little snow predicted overnight. That's okay, it'll cover the mud.
