Good Morning! It's 21° here with a clear, starry sky and moonlight. This afternoon I may have to make a supermarket run, but I'll see how I feel. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Upshall smooth quarter-bent Dublin and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my insulated work coat. Have a good one everybody!

Good Morning Again! It's 20° now with a clear sky. Last evening our landlord dropped off our new microwave and a crew is coming by later on to do the installation. Food prep just hasn't been the same without one. Working on a bowl of Bayou Morning Flake in the Upshall Dublin while sipping some more coffee. Time to check the headline news.

Just lit up a bowl of Scottish Flake bits and pieces, opened a fresh tin, and filled the day jar. Watching another streaming video and sipping me coffee.

Now smoking a bowl of Straight Grain Flake in the Upshall Dublin. I'm watching the final part of another streaming episode of Endeavour on PBS while occasionally sipping my coffee. I'll head back to the house after this pipe.

I'm waiting for the coffeepot to work it's magic, and checking my list for this morning's trip to Food Lion, as we're out of everything that makes life worth living...except for tobacco. As for tobacco, I'll be starting with F.M.O.T.T. in a Starfire bent bulldog, my Favorite bully, and maybe a big mug of Yuban.

Happy Friday, all! Started the day with a bowl of Haunted Bookshop in the Friday cob and coffee. Seems I turned the corner on this bug. The tobacco and coffee are tasting pretty good today. I'll have another bowl after this one.

It's a permanent feature of my aging process I'm afraid, Pete. I'm doing better, though, now that it's not as damp today.

I just got my hands on Sutliff Argosy Match from West Virginia Smokeshop (along with a few other things). It’s been about 40 years since I smoked Argosy and I don’t know when it was discontinued. Upon opening the bag, it was amazing to me that I could still remember the smell of the original and how much this match blend is like it. I’ve loaded up a cob and I’m about to have a nostalgic smoke.

I’ve loaded up a cob and I’m about to have a nostalgic smoke. What sort of a blend is/was it? Hey Urb! I only have vague memories and impressions of the original. My recollection was that it was a black cavendish blend, just as the match is. It’s listed as vanilla flavored, but there is something else there I can’t quite put my finger on (besides anisette). I seem to remember that the original had more topping on it than the match does, I get the impression that the match is a much better quality version than the original. I don’t remember the original being that great and the match is a pretty good smoke for its genre, nothing that interests me now though.
