Talk to the store manager be it grocery or liquor store. The manager at Albertson’s told me that he can put in special orders with the distributor and hold it for me if and when it comes available. ( you may have to agree to a case purchase though.) They dod it for me with Samuel Smiths oatmeal stout.

Owned by Heineken, it's brewed in Petaluma, CA and Chicago by the Lagunitas Brewing Co. It should be readily available from retailers that have a decent beer selection. Sadly, when Heineken brought production to the US, the flavor profile changed (using a different yeast culture). Still good, just not the same. It was a favorite of mine.

Definitely Sean. Liquid bread! That brings back memories. The Welsh Men's Choir got me quite lit on those one night. 🙂 Welshmen drink?

The sad truth is when Brewer's in other countries set up production here the quality deteriorates to something no longer worthy of the name. Newcastle Brown, Foster's Lager, Heineken, to name a few. I pray to the Brewer in the Sky that Samuel Smith stays put. Even the Guinness Stout we get in this country is nothing like what is served in Ireland.

A large measure of Bombay Sapphire with a liberal dose of King Floyd's Cardamon Bitters. No ice.
This is the season of Gin and Bitters or "Pink Gin". That has nothing to do with the abomination bottled and sold in this country under the same name.
While in Pojoaque I was able to find Plymouth Gin, my favorite although Navy Strength was not available, and secured a deal on Tyler's City of London Gin in a Liter bottle for $21. That ought to hold me for a while.

Who would have thought that possible??? There is a fine whisky made in Wales although I cannot recall the label. Had it once with Welsh friends.

I had Penderyn once at a friend's house. I remember it was like Scotch.

Highland Park 12.
I ended up deciding to restock the liquor "cabinet" after all. I didn't restock everything; just one Irish, two bourbons, one scotch.

Maybe I need to get out more…

City of London Pink Gin with King Floyd Cardamon Bitters. Saving the Plymouth which needs nothing at all added to it.

Elijah Craig Small Batch. That's what I've been drinking lately. It's so dark and caramely ... good stuff.
