Son picked up 2 French quarts of store brand tonic water. I had a taste and it was weak and two sweet, so I dumped in a couple of shots of Bombay Sapphire. Funny how 2 bad ingredients can make a pretty serious drink. I need to get a bottle of Tanqueray before summer, and some of that Indian tonic water. That is my preferred Summer drink.

Much earlier, 4oz small Coke glass with morning meds
Ed-likes basic habits, too old for much excitement

Cheap tonic and mediocre gin? 😉 Or just gin and tonic in general? It is a great summer drink, but it hit the spot for me yesterday.

I ordered Q mixers brand from Amazon. Top rated after Fever Tree and half of the price.

Glad to hear that. I've never had it before. Even the current Schweppes seems week and overly sweet.

An after-dinner Yuenger. If I'm going to have one, it has to be now so I keep it away from the sleepytime meds.

Usual morning meds in old 4oz Coca-Cola glass, probably a freebie from something the late wifie bought eons ago.

Bardstown Bourbon. Once again, I'm having it earlier than usual so it doesn't interfere with the new sleep med. This stuff really is tasty.

If you'd like to be able to stay up a little later than you do, I'll trade you some stay-up for some go-to-sleep.

If you'd like to be able to stay up a little later than you do, I'll trade you some stay-up for some go-to-sleep. I’d trade you gladly if I could. As it is I’m usually abed early, but tonight I’ve reverted to old form. My little pit bull pup is sleeping sweetly now but she’ll be rousted from slumber by nature’s call by around 5 AM, and so will I. I’m enjoying a peaceful smoke and Manhattan for now, which is a rare pleasure nowadays. I hope you get on top of insomnia, I was once afflicted and it is a Hell I don’t wish on anyone. I hope your meds get you back to a rhythm. But for now, cheers!

Genuine Calvados last evening. What a treat. Found a bottle at a price I can afford. Still, pricey so I use sparingly.

Not a big soda drinker, but I miss the soda's of my 'Yute... The local antique mall carries them all, wanted Squirt, but did not want to wait for the employee to dig it out...and they were busy...wanted to revisit Grape Nehi, the favorite of Radar O'Reilly. Cane sugar is so much better than corn syrup...
They had Cheerwine, I will give it a shot next time.
