Calamari Fritto, thankfully the cheese peeled of easily, not a big fan of the New Mexico smother it all in cheese treatment. Birria tacos, the dipping sauce is wonderful! All in all a good meal at Catrinas in Kingman. imgur.com/a/VDsOXlo

Gonna be Chicken Pot Pie from Marie Calender. She's not a bad cook! I find their Turkey Pot Pie and Beef Pot Pie to be superior to the chicken pie. More meat in the other two. I sometimes use their Chicken Pot Pie as a gravy for my own prepared chicken breast or thighs. Just plop pie on top.

This is why we use chile gravy for smothering stuff.

An egg bagel made by and shipped directly from The New Yorker Bagel Company of Brooklyn, NY. Butter and Austrian made strawberry jam. Pot of tea.
Great bagels and far better than what passes for one here in NM. Are they better than Noah Schimmel's or Katz or Zabar's? Who can say?

I always liked poppy seed bagels with a shmear.

Homemade sausage and white bean soup is simmering away on the stove for tonight's dinner. Will pair well with the falling snow outside.

Here in Arizona, when a restaurant bills itself as "New Mexican", they seem to overdo it with red chile sauce, and heaps of cheese.

A chicken pot pie from Wild Fork. Not bad but not much better than Marie or other brands in the market. I prefer meat pies to be completely encapsulated by pie dough.

I feel the same way that is how I roll when I make them. Premade pie dough from pillsbury, rotisserie chicken from Costco, and a recipe from America’s test kitchen…. Chicken pot pie heaven! I still like the banquet pot pies for a cheap fairly decent meal though.

Two dinner selections are on the menu for tonight's dinner: leftover soup or leftover stew. I think that I'll have the stew. Ice cream and TV afterwards.

Partial can of Progresso Creamy Tomato with Basil, coarse cracked pepper and garlic salt, with whole tin of Mediterranean-style smoked mackerel. Remainder of can t’row with whole tin of anchovies. No Basque fisherman would have been disappointed.
