I’m having my septic tank pumped so I’d rather not talk about food right now.

Sautéed chicken breast on a bed of greens. A bit lighter to offset yesterday's dinner.

I’m having my septic tank pumped so I’d rather not talk about food right now. Is that a euphemism for what John is doing this week?

The menu for this evening is the second Chicken Parmigiana I made last night with red lentil spaghetti and marinara sauce. Starting tomorrow, lighter fare such as rice, noodles, polenta, bread, eggs are OK but no animal flesh including fish. Then it all stops. Nothing Wednesday or Thursday. Four hour drive to the clinic where work will be done. So, I need to be empty before hand. I sure will be glad to get this over with!

What no beans, chili has beans! Not my chili. If anyone here wanted them, I would make chili beans as a side dish.

Did it ever occur to you that they are called chili beans because they are supposed to go in the chili.

Speaking of picky, picky, picky…. Just talked to a buddy that has ran the independent fast food family restaurant for 40 years…. They have excellent food and superior service. In April the California $20 an hour minimum wage kicks in, he cannot compete with the big boys to robotitize the kitchen.
I told him that he was a nit picker, he should pay them $60 an hour, that’s a living wage!

Brunch to be (3) toaster pancakes one cycle. Add usuals + couple sausage links, nuke 5mins on high, to back room, eat & to the papers/snail-mail. Sure to be a snoozie not long after doing all that
Ed-simple mind, simple overall life suits me fine

Just ate a great breakfast at Rock Springs Cafe in Black Canyon city, est. 1915.
Famous for their pies, but the breakfast was quite good. $4.25 for a cup of coffee seems steep.

Lunch was a chicken thigh with red lentil spaghetti and Marinara Sauce with real parmesan. None of that Kraft stuff for me.
This will be the last solid food for the next couple of days.
