Rotisserie chicken from Albertson’s, a good deal and tasty with salad. A skinny chicken compared to Costco… but comparing to Costco is unfair, they sell at a loss. We had a rotisserie chicken from Sam's tonight and it was huge. Much larger than the grocery chains. Also had store bought potato salad.

I'll have what you're having. A few shrimp nestled in there wouldn't suck That would be good. I sauce it with Tamari, rice vinegar, Oyster Sauce, white wine, and chicken stock. Shrimp would certainly fit in.

We had a rotisserie chicken from Sam's tonight and it was huge. Much larger than the grocery chains. Also had store bought potato salad. Our grocery stores use young chickens which more tender. No one wants some old rooster who should have been boiled in a pot. 4 to 5 pounds is the roasting limit for me. Larger gets stewed. My market sells roti chickens in the 3-4lb range and they are good. I never had a Costco chicken. Too far away.

Our supermarket had some more of those good boneless pork ribs that we like when I went shopping today. They're in the oven now basted with BBQ sauce with sauerkraut and carrots on the side.

Stopped at the Horseshoe Cafe in Benson Az. today, had the BLAT on toasted sourdough, fries and iced tea. Great cooks and servers and the portions…. No need for dinner back at the Hacienda!

Roast chicken pulled with sliced Andouille Sausage, bell pepper, celery, onion in a skillet. On Parish Rice and smothered in a home made gravy seasoned with a Louisiana spice mix with cream. I do not know what it might be called but it is quite good. A nice use of left over chicken.

My regularly scheduled canned pear halves and pecan halves. In France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary pears are often grown inside bottles hanging on the tree. When the pear matures and ripens it is removed and the bottle filled with Marc or white brandy. Then aged some. You might like that.

Received a bread shipment from Brot Box. German breads, par cooked and oven finished. Baked Brotchen or rolls. Excellent. Lighter than I could make. Need some wursts to go with them! Ja!

Lunch was a couple of Tacos with rice, beans, red chile at our local cafe diner. My old high school pal joined me. I have not seen him in 53 years. We picked up where we left off without getting into "Do you remember X". He brought his Oud and played several songs from Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Turkey, and Armenia. Quite proficient. He was a rock and Blues guitar player in the 1970s. Moved on.
