Last night I stumbled across a great Korean restaurant in Sierra Vista...Korean short rib meal, forgot to snap a pic of the fried dumplings and eggroll appetizer…. scrumptious! That pan sizzled for a full five minutes after it was in front of me...never seen that before. Back at the Hacienda eating leftover Turkey noodle soup, and sourdough bread.

It's bogo boneless wings at Buffalo wild wings. so I got enough for tonight and hopefully tomorrow with a side pretzel knots. I figured I'd try their honey Siracha and honey roasted garlic wings. How's your dad? Still traveling? Yeah he's back tomorrow went to puerto vallarta with a friend. We're going to to the tattoo expo on Saturday I want to enter my memorial tattoo in the best traditional and my arm in best color. He's got a portrait of my mom I want him to enter I. Best portrait.

Had to get up at 4am today to get the wife to the Longview hospital for tests. (she's fine, thanks.) So hungry we stopped at the first place we came to, Lizzys Grill. 2x biscuits with gravy, 2 scrambled eggs, hash browns and bacon, washed down with a huge cup of coffee. 5 thumbs up. That is good news, indeed, Ron. I mean about the Missus. Also, about Lizzy's Grill. Thanks, John. She still has the symptoms we were concerned about, but they minor.

Turkey and avocado sandwich from Schlotzsky's. Took a trip into the city to drop off a truck full of clothes and stuff to Goodwill and shopped at Walmart for road goodies. So Schlotzsky's was a must stop.

Cleaning out my kitchen I found a few cans of curry paste with an expiry date this June. So tonight it’s a shrimp in green curry. Accompanied by a Manhattan with some Wild Turkey 101.

You gotta watch the dates one Curry paste. Indian curry is stable but that Thai Green Curry Paste can erupt in a fireball of tragic proportions... or, maybe it was just my gut?

I don’t trust any of it, so I always check the expiry date. Even then…. “Fireballs of tragic proportion”, I love that phrase. I’ll let ya know tomorrow, but thanks for the warning!

Lunch in town at El Sabor Real restaurante. A little hole in the wall run by Mexican newcomers. I heard it was great and it was that. I had Carne Asada Enchiladas with red Chile. My friends split a Carne Asada Quesadilla. Desert was their own chocolate cake with flan for a frosting. Also the bomb.

That looks really good John! I always judge Mexican food by the beans and rice first if they get the side dishes right, the main dish will be good.

Better than nothing. I ate the carnes guisada every week in Humble at Dos Gallos. Wonderful home style food. I'm wondering if Branson will have something better.

Me like combustible green curry. Mine hasn't done that. Maybe a smaller spoon?

A late lunch at a neighbor's house. Chicken and dumplings with an excellent Italian style salad. He is a fine cook from a long line of Italian restaurant people in St. Louis. His home made Italian cookies for desert. A nice time with good people.
