Lunch in Alamosa CO, while waiting for the truck at the Ford dealer service department. The Siam Restaurant. Alamosa has three Thai and two Chinese restaurants. Picked this one because they have Vietnamese dishes on their menu. Pho with Crispy Duck and excellent it was. Hope to go back some day. Pho is a real treat for me. Glad we have these immigrants here.

It's looking like baked boneless skinless chicken thighs with BBQ sauce, pan fried potato chunks, and assorted veggies.

That is the pleasure of not going with the chain restaurants. Sometimes you don't have a choice. A lot of the standalone restaurants are very expensive but the food isn't up to the price. 67 bucks for the 2 of us, but at least it was good. At least you always know what you are getting at McDonald's.

When my wife was going to Shreveport for her doctor, we ate good Greek about twice a month. Since this is a vacation we don't mind splurging a little. It was half of what we wasted at the Springville National Aquarium and so much better.
