Snacking on some pecan halves while dinner cooks. Tonight it'll be boneless pork ribs with sauerkraut and carrots. Always good. I have a jar of Bubbies Sauerkraut on hand and there are pork chops coming my way soon. Cannot decide if I will make Jaegar Schnitzel or with the Kraut.

Tonight will be a ground sirloin cheddar cheese burger on a toasted bagel half. Maybe a whole, we shall see. I hope the onions arrive it time! Someone bringing me food. Actually, it is the Ex. So, I will soon learn all the things I am doing wrong... again.

Doing Bertolli later... The products from this line are just as good or better than what you will find in a chain restaurant. We buy them when the store runs specials which are frequent. Buy a sourdough loaf and toss a simple salad, and you can eat cheap...more than enough for two in a bag.

We ate them all the time when they were 5 or 6 bucks, but here they are 12 every day and never on sale. Meat and veggies are cheap, but most anything frozen is doubled.

Wow...we see them come up for $5 regularly. If we shop in Longview or Texarkana they are a little cheaper , but not that cheap. You live in a Major Metropolitan Area. Makes a difference. We are in a Rural Area. 30k people in the county. All of the 6 surrounding counties don't equal the population of the Pho-Enix metro area. Of course, the 2 12 ribeyes we had for lunch were about 11 bucks, cheaper than 2 Whoppers.

Simple baked Cojo Salmon filet. Just Old Bay, EVOO, sliced lemons. Sweet potatoes, Swiss Chard. Coho is as good as it gets here. it has been a longtime since I have seen King Salmon. Once in a while Sockeye shows up in stores here.
Breakfasted on two eggs, one sausage patty, hash brown potato patty and a slice of fried rye bread.
Made a great Split Pea Soup I hope to enjoy later.

No raisins here today. Went to town for blood test. Chinese takeout over to the Exes house for her and her partner. A nice guy suffering from advanced Parkinson's. Great meal. We are fortunate to have this place. Nice people, good food. Their Chinese style Curry Beef is outstanding. Lots of nicely prepared vegetables in there.

A big slice of banana bread I got from a local kids table in the hardware store. He's 13 years old and has been baking and selling baked goods of all kinds for just over a year. Very popular in the area.
