While butterflying a chicken I managed to stab myself, rather deeply, in the hand. Bled profusely all over the kitchen. Able to manage first aid. Washing, antiseptic, surgical sponge, tape wrap, rubber band on top for compression. Should hold. Chicken now in oven. The extra basting might be interesting! Mopped the floor and wiped the counter. Might have nicked a nerve, thumb is acting funny. Could just be initial reaction. I was cutting Lacys new doggie treats in half and I nicked my finger. Got blood on the one I was cutting and dropped it. Of course she was right there. Now she won't eat them without "gravy". I hope your hand isn't too badly injured. Maybe plan another trip to town just in case.

Prime rib sandwich and French Onion soup at the Outback.
It was pretty good…. I almost left because after being seated no one came for a while. Eventually a sweet waitress came and gave superior service, she apologized that they were short handed and they are having a hard time finding employees.
Patience, Grasshopper!

Breakfast of two eggs, one sausage patty, hash brown potato patty and a cauliflower patty. A large dollop of Dennison's Chili con Carne with the eggs. I aim to add ground beef, onions, garlic, and red chile to the remainder of the #10 can. While it is good on its own, better when I am through adding my touches. Now, please understand that beans in Chile is not the way in New Mexico. Chile is made with meat and that alone. Beans are served on the side with the Chile, sometimes with Posole, too. The mixing of beans and Chile seems to come from the other 49 US States. I suspect our neighbor to the east but even they often observe this tradition. Added together works just fine with me. Please do not mention this to my neighbors.

Pot of Chili con Carne with beans on the stove. Added unsweetened chocolate for a deeper flavor and color, oregano, cumino, Piri Piri Sauce and Chile Caribe for heat . This on top of the NM Red Chile sauce. A good dab of tomato paste. Ought to be good. I will have it for breakfast with eggs on top.
Have not figure out supper. Possibly left over roast chicken with gravy on rice and lentils. Some kind of leafy plant matter on the side.
