Homemade lasagna ... sooo good! I make a great lasagna. Stole the recipe from the first wife who got it from her aunt. Problem is that we are both overweight and have blood sugar issues. Plus, when I make lasagna, it looks like a body exploded in the kitchen.

It should be the gold standard, at a dollar an ounce it is easy to watch the market! Or dollar a sandwich. It's cheaper in the Shreveport stores. This one is 52¢/oz. Krewe Foods Muffuletta Olive Salad, 15.5oz. a.co/d/gFTNu5bThis one might be more your style. Ghost Pepper Muffuletta Olive Salad, 15.5oz. a.co/d/i9PcXBjThanks! I never knew about jarred olive salad until I tried the one, never knew there were variants. I will check them out.

Plus, when I make lasagna, it looks like a body exploded in the kitchen. Their are lower glycemic index lasagna noodles. Some are made from bean flours. I have not used them. I try to get whole wheat but hard to find. Love lasagna. Need to make one soon. I bet yours was great!

Carl’s Jr. Diablo Burger. Carl's does a decent job on Burgers. Of course, we do not have them in New Mexico. The one in Walsenberg, CO is the closest and I usually stop there when driving north.

Beef Stew simmering on stove. No taters so I added diced zucchini. Carrots, celery, parsley, Swiss Chard Stalks, onions, garlic, beef stock, red wine, left over meatloaf from last week, nice and ripe! Cajun seasoning of my own mix per the recipe of a Cajun friend from long ago. It will be a wet one so I will enjoy it on a bed of Parish Rice and French Lentils.

Doing stuffed bell peppers tonight, from a cookbook recipe, “Americas Test Kitchen” that has never disappointed. Raking the spurs to Vegas tomorrow.😏

I had a tamale with red chile. Wolf made the Chile. One of my favorites of the canned variety. No beans in this one. I like their Angus chili. I grew up with the regular Wolf Brand, but for the last 20 years or more I have been buying Hormel because it has half of the fat. The Angus is still full fat, but the new Homestyle is about the same as the Hormel. Both Wolfs are a little spicier than the Hormel.
