Wednesday night cheeseburgers and salad later on. Scratch the salad, substitute leftover peas. Add leftover gemelli pasta sauteed in a combination of butter and olive oil, onions, garlic, and chick peas.

We had pan fried steak tonight with asparagus and a salad. I'm enjoying a cup of blueberry coffee now.

But, then, I was a strictly black coffee drinker before I had to give it up altogether. Since you like coffee, have you tried Ken Byron Ventures' Burley Morning tobacco blend? It's designed specifically for smoking with coffee and it is, indeed, a good combo.

Two air frier chimichangas with sour cream and hot sauce followed by the fruit with heavy whipped cream saved from yesterday. Giant 16oz cup of espresso. No blueberry coffee for this household.

Although, I am from Michigan. If we don’t put maple syrup on it, we put blueberries in it. Or, preferably, both.

Yes, I'm usually not a flavored coffee guy myself, but I bought some San Francisco Bay Blueberry blend, and though I would not drink it in the morning, it is great in the afternoon or evening with a little splenda and milk. I'm diabetic, so that is like a dessert for me.

A nice 5 minute walk from the hotel, far removed from the strip and all that nonsense… where the locals eat. The Calamari is very good, and the scallop dish is phenomenal! The peas, mini corn, and water chestnuts are the tastiest ever, and the sauce is heavenly…. The scallops are quite good also. imgur.com/a/fnRWh8rA nice meal, while I dined, a (probably) 50 Y/O giy saunters in to pick up his meal to go. He has his fake diamond studded belt strategically harnessed below his purple assed underwear., prominent cotton moons. Whatever…🙄 Then he comes back in complaining about the order and rags on the humble Asian server, until she relents and does a reverse charge. His purple arse saunters out, food in hand, gets into the car and knuckle bumps his brood mare. I would have loved to pull his underwear back and pour a bowl of boiling oatmeal in it, with a bum rush to the door.

I had a tamale with red chile. Wolf made the Chile. One of my favorites of the canned variety. No beans in this one. I like their Angus chili. I grew up with the regular Wolf Brand, but for the last 20 years or more I have been buying Hormel because it has half of the fat. The Angus is still full fat, but the new Homestyle is about the same as the Hormel. Both Wolfs are a little spicier than the Hormel. No wonder then that Wolf is so tasty! Yes, their Angus Chili is very good. I never read the label so this is new to me about the fat content. I have one can of Angus left then it is back to Nalley's.

Santa Fe for a visit with my Oncologist. News all good. PET Scan does not show new Cancer growths.
Lunch at the Chinese joint nearby. Shanghai Noodles. This is new to me. A huge plate with crispy noodles topped with a pile of ginger beef, shrimp and chicken with lots of vegetables. Could easily feed three people with rice on the side. Brought some home. $14.
I like this place.

What the website doesn't say, of course, is that Nalley's itself is no more. But that is what happens when your jar of pickles, your bag of chips, or your can of chili loses its independence. Conagra owns Wolf and Nalley I can feel body parts mutating now.

Ate lunch in Longview today at a new Mediterranean restaurant. Gyros with a side of hummus and dolmades. Pretty good. This kind of food is rare in NE Texas.

He finally told me the results of my cancer screening from 3 years ago, actually listened to me and read my file. Xray and urinalysis, all clear. Not violated!! He also set me up with a nephrologist without me having to ask. The restaurant sounds good, but if we ever get back to Santa Fe, we probably will be looking for the best Santa Fe New Mexican food. There are a lot of good choices in that town.

Great news Urb & Tosh! 😀
The CEO of our hospital came around with coffee and treats to say "thanks" to our department so I'm having some cheesecake with coffee.

There are a lot of good choices in that town. The New Mexican places I have been to Santa Fe are OK. There are better ones I do not know. You see, when in SF I look for what we do not have up north. So, it is Italian, Tibetan, Chinese, Japanese, Middle Eastern which I seek out. My favorite NM place in this part of NM is in Chimayo. El Rancho Chimayo. I can check around and find out which is best inside the city of SF for NM. I should know this as I am occasionally asked this question.

Lunch was a sliced turkey sandwich. One slice of bread, tomato, mayo, topped with a pile of Romaine leaves. Less carbs.
