Supper was Fish Cakes made with Mackerel packed in olive oil and lemon juice, mixed with instant mashed potatoes, Italian bread Crumps, chopped parsley, spinach, and celery. Season with pepper and dry mustard. Fried in Avocado Oil. I recommend this if you enjoy fish cakes. Lentils and rice on the side. We're starting to fry more in avocado oil. It's light and doesn't smoke, but it's also still a bit expensive. We actually don't fry that much. About the only things we fry anymore is salmon patties and hot water cornbread. I bought this bottle on sale slightly less than EVOO of similar volume. I mostly use Peanut Oil for frying. I still fry but have moved some items into the air fryer oven. CFS needs the oil and a skillet. The oil used is the minimum required for the job. No more deep frying.

Yeah, the price is going down while EVOO is going up. We only fry things that we haven't been able to figure out how to do in the air frier. Microwave bacon, but fry pan sausage. I have been frying eggs in butter on low heat lately. (French omelette). A regular fried egg doesn't taste right fried in avocado oil. I use ghee or bacon fat for that. We quit deep frying years ago because it's so bad for the house. Son wants Loukoumades every birthday. We haven't figured out how to make them without deep frying. I would ask the donut shop down the street for plain donut holes and pour the honey syrup over them ourselves, but they are from Bhutan and don't speak English. The waving cats and Buddhas are distracting too.

Slovacek summer sausage with a peanut butter sandwich that's when the power came back on meaning I could have had a better lunch. Slovacek Summer Sausage, tell us more. We find it stores down here. Made in Snook TX. It's good, but Blue Ribbon summer sausage is what we buy when we can get it because that's what we grew up with. That said, if I see Slovacek sausage and I'm feeling premium that day, I will probably buy it.

I feel sad for our brothers that for whatever reason, the marriage did not work out, a long-term relationship with a partner that stands the test of time is priceless. A woman that has your best interest at heart, a trusted confidant, and loyal to the core enriches the journey. Enjoy the day John, and there are even better days ahead.

Cafe Du Monde in Louisiana Collins street in Corsicana El Potrero Trading Post in Chimayo NM. Koegels in Flint Good to live in an age where you are not limited by your locale to acquire it.

Breakfasted on a two egg Frittata with goat cheese and yogurt, a slice of ham from Burger's Smokehouse in Missouri, potato patty. Their pre-sliced ham is very good. I wanted to order another whole Tennessee ham on bone but not sure if that is a good idea with the sodium and nitrates. Prefer Tennessee to Virginia hams. Looking for nitrate free hams. Will advise.
The bone-in-ham has some advantages. The bone is good for beans or soup. The fat cap can be rendered for frying or adding to refried beans in place of lard. Best value, it seems to me.
