Shaved ribeye cheesesteak. Arizona style, we use real cheese, not cheese whiz.

Done right, Charlie! Cheese whiz is just plastic goop. When I was in Philadelphia for a visit, I made a point to go to THE Philly cheesesteak sandwich place where the locals went. It was terrible. Tough, flavorless meat covered in that crappy 'cheese' stuff.

This being Sunday, yep, a trip to San Luis CO and Mrs. Rios Thai Kitchen. Ginger Crispy Duck. Their own lime soda to drink. Yes, it has sugar in it. Big group this time, ten of us. Ate half and brought the rest home for lunch tomorrow.

Not exactly news worthy but started the day with scrambled eggs with Pico de Gallo, one strip of bacon, sausage links, hash brown patty, pills.

As you may recall, close readers of my posts which you are , the mac and cheddar I made some nights ago had all the sauce absorb into the pasta. While it is still good eating it seems more oily than creamy. Soze, I made Tomato Gravy which has a nice sharp edge to it. Bechamel based. However, it ended up being more than I needed so I will be eating it for some time... Accompanying tonight will be Southern Fried boneless chicken thighs. Kind of flat filets like a Paillard or CFS. Dust with flour, dredge in butter milk, then cornmeal or maybe bread crumbs or maybe more flour or maybe all of them. Opinions welcome if interested. I know the chicken should have marinated in the buttermilk but I did not think to do that. I will pan fry not deep fry to conserve expensive peanut oil.

I've always been a flour kind of guy, but that's probably just because that's the way Mom made it when I was growing up. I do kinda prefer the delicacy of the flour coating, though.

Began the day with one fried egg, small slice of ham, chunk of leftover Strip Steak, hash brown patty, fried slice of bread. Perfect set up for Chemo pills as it bonds with the food in digestion or so I have read.

After reading much literature on Cancer, two nutritional takeaways. 1. High fat, high protein, low carb diet is essential. 2. Red wine and red grapes, contain resveratrol which inhibits cancer cell growth and causes cancer cells to self destruct.
So, steak and wine are indicated!!! Ordered a case of mixed Italian, French, and Portuguesa Reds from my wine club. In my price range of below $18 per bottle, these are better than what I have found in USA produced wines. I aim to replace spirits with red wine for a while.
The Keto diet with added leafy greens seems to be the best nutritional strategy for fighting cancer. So, I am making adjustments. No more purchase of carb foods which I shall miss. Recipes for cooking need to exclude sugars. This is known in the literature as "metabolic reprograming". New to me, so I thought to pass it on.
All of this goes back to German Scientist, Otto Warburg, who in 1966 told the world "The prime cause of cancer is the replacement of the respiration of oxygen in normal body cells by a fermentation of sugar." This is known as "The Warburg Hypothesis of Cancer" and is widely accepted by the National Cancer Institute among other credible reviewers of scientific literature.
The political and economic fallout from this is evident in that most people are not aware of this. There is a huge incentive on both sides of the equation to consume sugar in various forms and products. Whole economies are based upon it. Wars have been fought over it. While I mention it, perhaps we ought to just avoid discussing that part?

A jar of premium preserves is $6 and has no corn syrup. In a benevolent society this wouldn't be the case.

HFC syrup is deadly.
