I made a delicious and satisfying breakfast. I had a heel of a baguette, a ham and swiss omelette topped with some salsa. A side of kimchi. And finished up with some unsweetened applesauce. That sounds real good and unexpected.

Authentic Hungarian Goulash on a sliced German dumpling, Savoy cabbage in vinegar sauce. The Goulash still does not have enough sour cream. I will rectify that tomorrow. Desert was a sliced nectarine.

I used the rest of my ham and made another ham and swiss cheese omelette and baked a salmon fillet to have with it. Followed by unsweetened applesauce. I missed my baguette. Have to restock the freezer this weekend with bread and croissants.

Lunch in the village of Questa, 20 miles south of me. A new barbeque joint opened and they good. I had chopped brisket with a chicken thigh, potato salad and barbeque beans with toast. All nicely done. My ex had a ladies portion of pork ribs with potato salad and corn on the cob. I had a bite and it was good. Maria's Smokehouse. The staff were sweet as can be with the Chef coming out to say hello, the owner behind he register and a lovely young waitress who knows her job and is friendly about it. This customer relations can be a problem in Taos area as many here have a black cloud over their heads all the time and are as grumpy and indifferent as can be. So, it is nice to find an upbeat place.

Fish fry & Hash browns from diner done, just one dish soaking, ready to light a Victor Sinclaire Classico toro 6x50 for company later at 8pm along with a mini pecan pie along with WWE Smackdown on Fox. That's my evening entertainment

When I worked for a meat company in the 80’s we could not give them away, then Buffalo wings came on the scene that dramatically changed. A lot of wingless chickens running around. All the good soul food restaurants have the old fashioned wings, fried with a crust that weighs more than the wing it's coating. The ones at Blue Water Bayou in Texarkana are to die for. We quit frying them and started cooking them in the oven. A few tricks make them crispy and with the sauce, there's little difference.
