Beautiful day today here in NE Texas. Cool and no clouds. Chamber of Commerce week. Went by the neighbors farm and he was hosting the 4H rifle training. His wife does the actual coaching. Black and white girls and boys shooting rifles together and helping each other was beautiful, though a bit noisy. They all had on eye and ear protection. I'm glad I quit watching the news.

I've got a mosquito in the house. Sat. evening he chowed down on my hands without my ever noticing. Last night in my sleep he chewed my neck about half off. I look like I've got the worst razor rash, ever, on the right side of my throat.

A nice 56° today. The doggos got a nice walk. “Walk” is a euphemism. Jack mostly walks and stays close. Elki does not know how to walk. He knows only full speed ahead! 64° forecast for t’row. 😋

I'm always on the lookout for Nubians. Wait. No. That's nubiles. Nubile means “marriagable.” A dangerous pursuit. Oft used to mean a young maiden. Or, as my stepson would say when a teenager, "Grass on the field. Play Ball!"

Oft used incorrectly;y for “pretty” or even “sexy.”

Oft used incorrectly;y for “pretty” or even “sexy.” Women were young when they became "marriageable". Young is when women tend to be their most lithe and attractive. The word came to include that meaning. It's the kind of lexical drift that happens a lot in any language. At this point, it's standard usage.

I was having some pretty vivid dreams today before work and sleeping well until I drove my truck off a cliff. I was awake after that. Sheesh.

A Chamber of Commerce week here in NE Texas. Narcissus are starting to pop. In a few days the yard should be covered.

Decided to see how to pair my Apple air Pods to my Windows based Dell...did not have a clue...went to Youtube, it is really easy, but I needed to remove my silicone case that houses the Airpods...it was like a heat gun was used to weld it to the unit!
Youtube again...easy Peasey.
Certain car repairs especially if removing interior trim, Youtube is a Godsend on how to find them hidden clips...you can go all Melvin on it without the info and destroy your interior.
No...I do not work for YouTube.

No...I do not work for YouTube.I loved the Motor Manuals. YouTube is OK until they run a commercial at a critical point. But I use it for some kind of instructions at least once a week. Wife couldn't get her Rx today because the system for checking insurance copays was down nationwide. Internet is a blessing and a curse. Not sure, but I think it's more of a curse. But then there's you guys. I dunno.

The better online appliance parts dealers have YouTube videos linked to from their parts pages. A couple years ago, I needed to replace a dishwasher door latch assembly. It was great to be able to watch a video of that exact part being installed. Made the job really easy.

The news post Surgery was not as good as I had hoped. The surgery went well with a reasonable assurance all of the cancerous cells were removed from the colon by the procedure. Bad news is I have five lymph nodes which are cancerous. So, a referral to an Oncologist is indicated. That will be in a month as they want the surgery wounds to heal.
Staples out but still restricted in activity for another few weeks. No more than eight pounds to lift. The risk is a hernia which often follows abdominal surgery in the over active patient.

Sorry to hear that, John. Those pesky nodes can be dicey. But they don’t have to be and things have progressed a lot in the last few years. One thing you can count on— all the good wishes and prayers you’re gonna get!

Keeping the spirits up is important. Speaking of up spirits, a large glass of Calvados is indicated now.

Well, like you said, John, the news could have been better. But, we still have to acknowledge it could have been worse, too. My grandmother had lymphoma back in the late 70s and beat it to live another 25 years or so in good health, and medical care is worlds better now. It can be done.
Here's hoping you have a good meeting with the oncologist in a month. Take it from there.
