No worries, man. Spill. I was surprised to hear you guys even scheduled another visit. I thought the last one was expected to be, well, the last one. It was. I was very surprised myself and actually told him I couldn't make it because its Mom’s 75 this saturday. He sent me a text really asking me to see if I could make it so i called Mom and she said that we could celebrate her birthday another time. The next day he texted me and his brother called me saying is he just too weak. That's rough. Did he take kind of a sudden turn for the worse, or was he just being a bit overoptimistic?

Honestly, i think he was coming up here to pass away at the cabin. Its always where he said he would wind up.

I understand being so sick that he doesn't want company. I feel for you especially as your grief has already begun.

I have one friend that is so close that we want to be together at the last moment, if possible. Probably won't be, but I will do everything in my power to make it so. He's very healthy, but he also scuba dives in 3rd world countries so who knows. If he dies in Indonesia he's out of luck. I, however, expect to die in bed, unless I get another motorcycle. Life is so danged unpredictable.

Focus on the good times you have had with him Scott. I think that by his actions, that would be within his wishes. He is fortunate to call you his friend.

Spent some time in the garden. Added additional staking to the tomato plants. Picked the first zucchini and head of broccoli.

Sitting out front of Tire Pro getting some new meat on the rims. A cigar and mug of coffee are helping to pass the time.

Yesterday I drove 110 miles to an MD appointment. I have waited five months to see this specialist. I arrived there early only to be told the Doctor has a family emergency and will not see me. He was even in the office at the time and refused to spend 15 minutes with me. The receptionist asked him again. Still he refused. So much for medical ethics and professionalism. Anyway, I was able to visit El Parasol for a great taco plate lunch and visit the great liquor store next door. Found Lemon Hart Rum which I have not seen for decades. Then I treated myself to a DQ strawberry milkshake. The first I have had since developing Cancer. Not recommended but I figured one if five months would not hurt too much. Enjoyed it.

![oldcdgr](//storage.forums.net/6447321/images/juvLHSbPyjgJlrDFxGym.gif) Cut grass after yesterdays storm, left a few tracks in back of yard, not too bad, rain in the afternoon seems to be the pattern. Gonna call my bushhog man and get him to cut the pasture in another mints, grind all the stubble from waist high bushes.

I was going to cut the grass today but I had a couple of errands and by the time I got home it was too hot. 93, feels like 105.

My property is all granite and limestone so mowing is out. I did knock back the weeds with a string trimmer this morning.

I hear ya, John. There's a trend in medicine where all pretence of patient care is being replaced with patient processing. We've become simply the means through which practitioners get to the money. It's become intolerable.

Survived the hurricane thank you Bluetti and Firman generators for keeping me with lights and AC. Tuesday our friend Derrick took the generator and drained the fuel and cleaned the tank so we ran on avgas from the airport until regular power was restored Thursday around 530 PM. 2.5 million lost power.

The electricity went out for a second and then came back on. Lots of people around here were quite pissed that the infrastructure was so weak. Some heads shall roll.

Lots of people around here were quite pissed that the infrastructure was so weak. Some heads shall roll. It's always been that way. Have you seen any evidence of them making capital improvements? I didn't think so. Thing is, Houston is unique with all the trees and floods. No one wants there streets torn up for months at a time. In newer neighborhoods like the Woodlands the wires are all underground, but many new developments still have the poles.
