Arrived home yesterday evening from our 9 night vacation. Quite a venture, John. Any Buc-Lee's along the route? No Buc-ee's. They all seemed to have a line of cars all the way down the off ramp trying to get there. We were focused on getting the long drive done and weren’t interested in what looked to be far too long of a stop just for gas, coffee, and bathrooms. Plenty of far faster alternat ives.

No Ed again today? I guess he must be okay since he didn't say anything about having health problems when he popped in briefly on Sat. It's weird not seeing him around, though. He has visited the last couple days, just not posting. He was online earlier today. Dunno what's going on.

I'll try sending him an email. I know he was having trouble accessing his email a couple of weeks ago and his techie was out of town, but I would think (hope) that's fixed by now.

Sitting in the doctor’s office waiting to get my wrist checked. On the way over, I had a dental implant come out, so that’s fun.

The implant is a little trickier because my dentist retired in late 2022 and I haven’t gotten around to finding a new one yet. I spent a lot of time on the phone and finally found somebody I can see next Monday. That was the best I could do.

The wrist problem is, they think, a cyst. That's what the MRI will confirm or disprove. Just one of those things.
The tooth was one I had an amalgam filling in since I was a kid and over the years it cracked the tooth to the point it couldn't be saved. Why the implant came out, I have no idea. As I was driving to the wrist doc, I just noticed it felt odd and was kinda probing it with my tongue to see what was up, and the thing just tipped right out.

I have one that wasn't done right that the (new) dentist wants to redo but I can still use it so I'm holding off. The guy who put it in screwed it up. Not only that, the crown is loose on the post and it rattles when I eat! 😁

I had that issue with metal fillings all my upper back teeth but 1 from impacts and extreme temperature changes are gone now. They broke off piece by piece until they split and it was excruciating. The worse physical pain I have experienced in my life as of now. I am hopefully getting some partial dentures soon. Take it easy till Monday when you see your new dentist.

I don't mind a few broken bones so much, but get me in the dentist's chair and I'll give exact directions to the rebel base!

Besides this implant, I've had a root canal and a variety of other work done, but I've never had any severe pain from any of it. About the worst I've experienced is a dentist put a hot drill against the side of my tongue and blistered it. I was numb at the time and didn't feel it. Sure felt it the next several days, though.

If they hit that nerve in the dentist chair, that clip of Dustin Hoffman in the marathon man becomes real.

Not sure if it is always the case with Costco, but….
Went to the grocery store and one Degree antiperspirant was $8 and change.
5 of the exact same product from Costco was $15 with free shipping.
(Free shipping on all orders is what I was not sure about.)

I don’t have much of an outlet for my feelings so this is kinda where I get some stuff out. I know its like being a downer but it helps

I was very surprised myself and actually told him I couldn't make it because its Mom’s 75 this saturday. He sent me a text really asking me to see if I could make it so i called Mom and she said that we could celebrate her birthday another time. The next day he texted me and his brother called me saying is he just too weak.
