The reptile didn't answer, but he did post a comment in the Audiophile thread, so he seems to be extant.

That's very cool! We used to listen to Traffic all the time back in the day. I know I had 3 or 4 albums, but that was around the time of a series of roommates. I only have John Barleycorn Must Die now. That one gets old.

This came up as a YouTube suggestion for me. I’m not familiar with these guys, but it was a fun listen.

Turn it up. Way up. Every time. To 12. If you don't have a 12, buy one. 1966. The Beatles broke up 54 years ago. The Stones are on tour and had a Hit Record THIS YEAR!

Seeing Lenny Zakatek singing lead on that song, and looking up what he looks like now…. a lot of years have passed since this recording. The remarkable thing about attending an Alan Parson’s concert is his ability to attract vocalists that nail it as perfectly as the original singers. Chicago is the opposite… instrumental is fine, the original singers are long gone, and it seems like a bad karaoke concert. I have heard stereotomy countless times, this is the first time seeing the video…that is one tiresome thing to watch, I don’t get it.

Yep, he never had a band, just the very best studio musicians available. Personnel are subject to change without notice. We have played the vinyl "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" many hundreds of times.
