Take a look at Mia Asano's electric fiddle--with frets. It is tuned B(flat), F, C, G, D, A, E.

Pipe Club benefactor, Rande Reed...quite eclectic, quite good. The Quest was his Magnum Opus as the guy on the far right of Surf's up...Rande's executor and Orchestra conductor in Washington told me. A pretty amazing piece.

Listened to Beyonces Texas Holdem I like it, I know it's blasfamy but I like it! I've tried to listen to her music a lot of times. Not going to fool me again. What was that other song a while back something about a road? Billy Ray and some rapper. Never again. There's at least 600 years of good music, and I can see what I like at the local Music Hall.

Ron it's not like that believe me listen to it. OK, I found the video and listened for five seconds, then I thought I should give it a real chance. I gave it 20 seconds more. Sorry buddy. I'm glad it works for you. I can't stand what they call country music these days. And I would love to see her walk out on the stage blessed by Minnie Pearl, Dottie West, Crystal Gale, Tammy Wynette and so many more dressed in just her panties, high heels and a skimpy vest. Just because she topped the country charts says more about the people who make the charts. It's not country folks buying her records.

My dad played the fiddle with a dance band in Kosse, Texas, when he was about 17 years ago. I never got to hear him. My sister told me that Bob Wills, who was 5 years younger would hang out and listen, and pester them to let him join the band. It was a paying gig and you weren't going to share if you didn't have to back then.

To clarify my Country Western leanings, the current country singers don’t do it for me, I’m an old Hank, Lefty Frizzel, even Bob Wills as Ron pointed out, just was curious about the Houston gal, all those plastic cowboy hats mortify me. I’m just an old💩I Garronte!

Speaking of fiddles, and Bob Wills.... I have been a Bob Wills fan for a long time. My sister told me that there were issues between his family and my dad's family, but I was a fan long before I knew that. It was racism. My dad's mom and his aunts were Choctaw and Cherokee and that just wasn't tolerated in the early 1900s. My dad had red hair and hazel eyes so he could pass and he got out of town. His only request was to not be buried in Kosse. His younger sisters retired there in the 70s and are buried there. I have been once. Few trees, cotton, dirt, and fire ants. Anyway, I really regret that I never got to hear him play. He apparently was pretty good. He was a dad at 20 so he went to work as a laborer, while Bob Wills went on the road. I'm probably better off the way it turned out. I like to think that he was Bob's inspiration. 🤔😁

I’m just an old💩I Garronte! If the Hickory Hill band ever plays in your area you should check them out. You would love their show. Crowd is mostly over 65. And, like I said before, they're local guys. The Eagles were playing Oklahoma City the night we went to the Hickory Hill concert here and I was sad about not being there. These guys played a couple of Eagles songs and if you closed your eyes, you were transported.

I’m listening to Smell of Female on vinyl. You have an interesting collection. I have very eclectic tastes in music. The Dead Milkmen are next up I think, followed by the Subhumans. It’s going to be a punk night.
