I've got a couple of their tools. No yard tools, though, except my mower. So far, I got no complaints with them. It's tough to beat Milwaukee for quality. I'm a big fan of their 12V series for smaller size with ample power. 👍 For a commercial landscaper it may make sense to go with gas fired equipment, but you need to buy the best. For a homeowner, the best is really expensive, a lesser brand can be problematic,(and the repair guys don't want to work on it because they know that you do not want to pay for the hefty price of labor) and/or you get an education in small engine repair. Not buying an electric car anytime soon, but the yard equipment really makes sense.

A old meerchaum cutty pipe hallmarked 1902 If that's Austrian, it should be a great smoker.

That pipe has character...if they could speak about past smokes, that would be pretty cool! Unless perhaps you got Jack The Ripper's pipe.

Ordered a couple tins of Steamworks from Country Squire. Solely to get free shipping, I added this estate Caminetto: The listing didn't identify the line or a model name or shape number. This, however, gentlemen, is a bent apple.

Logistics have been a real pain this past few years. I've heard of Webber, never personally seen any of his work, but very highly regarded. I mostly work on electrics, acoustics require *a lot* of specialist tools, clamps, braces, etc. I have some, but not not enough to carry out major surgery. Emerald guitars are literally half an hour from where I live, they do a lot of acoustic repairs as well as manufacturing. I don't like their guitars though, carbon fibre,,, just no! 😂 There's a local guy called Fitz Howard from Letterkenny, Donegal, he's the 'guru du jour' around here for acoustics and acoustic repairs. I very much defer to his skills, but I'm still learning, and every guitar presents a new learning opportunity, 😉

So, I spent a few hours checking out David Webber Urb. You're a lucky man, owning one of those guitars, some of the nicest work I've ever seen. He treats the wood so respectfully, almost understated, but great skill and a great eye for grain, for sure.

Ron was extremely skilled and a perfectionist, but he always flew somewhat under the radar and always kept his prices very reasonable for the quality of his work. Webber was like that.

What do you use your fountain pens for, Jack, if I may ask? I have a few and I seem to take them in spells: I'll use them a lot for a while, then not at all for a while.

I have recently taken sketching and watercolor painting back up now that I have the time for them. I used to use technical pens for sketching but am trying to transition to fountain pens.

I've seen some YouTubers using them for that. It's fun to watch, but I can't even draw water.

Some 30-gal. garbage bags, an insulated tumbler, and a copy of The Short Oxford History of English Literature. ("Short" being about 800 pages. Hey, it's shorter than the multivolume non-short version. "Short" is completely relative. Tell that to your girlfriend/spouse/evening companion.)
