My tobacco order wasn't delivered today because it had to sit around in the Akron distribution center, less than an hour away, for twenty four hours.  The Man is keeping you down, Russ. Well, hooray...my tobacco order arrived earlier. |

I've been justly ribbing the USPS via twitter lately, as their Informed Delivery tracking service has been up and down. It came back up just in time for me to learn that a Peterson Standard System 305 that I snagged on eBay is delayed and has been re-routed to somewhere in Detroit, after sitting in Indianapolis for 2 days. I live 3 hours due north of Indy in South Bend, so the package bypassed my house and kept going a total of 3 hours northeast instead of stopping. It was due to be in my hands yesterday. Now I won't see it before Saturday at the earliest, probably Monday if I'm really lucky. As predicted, the pipe sat in Detroit for the weekend, and is supposed to be delivered today, on merely the 5th day after it was supposed to be delivered. We'll see if it actually happens... The USPS is not impressing me lately. Not that they care, obviously. |

These are okay generally for Autumn, but in the Winter I'll wear them under heavier weight wool socks when out in the freezing weather. Gotta have good woolies on her feet! |

We had no reefers. That WW franchise was a couple women that had reluctant husbands to risk the investment on the venture… they became wildly wealthy when WW took off. Both women passed away, and the widowers carried on. One of the managers there told me about that, strange twist of fate. |

The 3 minutes (at the most) that I went upstairs to change from morning loungewear the UPS driver showed up with the signature requiredpackage for the wife.
I had left my phone on the couch because I did not need it for 3 minutes, he rang the blink doorbell that rings my phone… had he rang the hardwired doorbell I would have heard it.
Argh!

They call it the "Special Dublin". No idea what makes it "special", but I do like the grain and I like the lack of a comfort stem. Seems to be in very good shape, too.
