Atalaya in a Peterson Dublin. Decided against productivity for the remainder of the day. Some days, productivity is overrated. Agreed! Especially when the sun pops out, the day warms up and the pups want to frolic in the yard.

Good Afternoon! It's 78° with a clear sky and bright sunshine out here on the deck. Another beautiful Spring day so productivity has been called off for now. I think we may have a prospective used car to consider and I'll discuss it with my wife later on. Just cleaned a couple of pipes and I'm smoking a bowl of aged Peterson Flake in the Stanwell 29 smooth billiard with a glass of water on the side.

Friar's Bayou in the Monday cob on the back deck. 81 and very breezy here. The neighbor's table umbrella achieved lift-off. The glass table top did not survive. Gonna be 20 degrees cooler tomorrow.

Friar's Bayou, back to the barrel shaped meerschaum. Gonna grill some chicken in a little bit.

2012 Erinmore Flake in an Ehrlich meerschaum. I need to take a new photo of this pipe, it’s colored quite a bit since I first got it. ![](https://i.imgur.com/zYjCJV2.jpg)

![](https://i.ibb.co/WskLgX2/IMG-20240513-220124.jpg) Evening all, I'm in the mood for a nice aromatic. Having some Gawith and Hoggarth 2022 Seasonal Reserve, in a Burlington 1/8 bent Volcano? If you've ever had 'black forest gateau'; you'll know the flavour profile; nutty, chocolately, Burley blend, with cherry, almond and vanilla topping, which is not overpowering, the Burley bursts through all the way, especially past the first third. Lovely stuff. 😋

The flavourings are there, but they don't shout over the rich, nutty Burley. Saying that, it only gets smoked a few times a year. I'm looking forward to comparing it to BRM, when I get around to cracking it.

Unlike Turkish made ones from this same era (1960’s to 1970’s) which were mostly made by carvers, not traditional pipe makers and can be hit or miss, these were made in Boston by a master pipe maker and it really shows in fit, finish and smoking. The drilling is perfection, the threading for the stem is of a quality I only ever see in high end European made meerschaums from the 19th century. I love them.

Good Tuesday morning to all of the Patch, it's a grey, cool morning in the Irish North, there's a nip in the air, cold weather is latakia weather for me; Artisan's Blend in the Aldo Morelli straight billiard, large mug of coffee to pair. Hope you all have a good one friends!
