I'm on the front porch with a bowl of Friar's Bayou in an unbranded, sandblasted Zulu. A basket pipe that I purchased from a long gone tobacco shop in suburban Detroit called The Briarworks. Owned by a great guy, Tom Nash, who once was a pipe carver ( he preferred "briarsmith") at Malaga Pipe Shop. As I recall, the shop was called Malaga Briar Pipe Co. I still miss that shop. When we'd drive from Lansing to the in-laws in Sterling Hts., our route took us practically right past Malaga in Royal Oak. The whole shop was nothing but Malaga pipes. I'm sure you're correct on the name. Used to go there a lot for tobacco and cigars, but never bought a pipe there. No idea why. The Briarworks was about a mile and a half east of Malaga on 11 Mile Road.

I would have bought more, but $35 to 40 for a pipe was a lot of money to a newly married guy in the late 80s and early 90s. I still miss their Honeycomb blend which was a honey aro with a touch of Perique.

2016 McC Three Oaks Syrian in my Robert Amundson blasted Billiard. I had been calling this pipe a Brandy, but I noticed on the data card included with the pipe that the carver calls it a "small blasted Billiard". Yeah, it is sorta a Danish Billiard and Robert studies with Nanna Ivarsson. I would still call it a brandy.

Good Morning! And Good Morning to you, Jon. It's 61° here with a cloudy sky and a rain shower is on the way. This afternoon I have to make the monthly BJ'S grocery run. Starting off the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Peterson Rosslare 106 smooth billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Have a good one everybody!

Good Morning Again! It's 60° with a mostly cloudy sky here at dawn. Smoking a bowl of one year old Limerick Flake in the Pete smooth billiard while occasionally sipping my coffee. Time to check the headline news.

Good morning all. I’m smoking Inns of Court in a Ropp Vintage smooth Prince. It’s a soggy day here in South Jersey. Today’s lineup includes a visit from my HVAC guys for a quote on a new central air unit. The improvements and bills never cease.
I hope you all have a good day!

Good morning, Briar Patch! Just got home from an early visit with my nurse. Now I'm sitting on the front porch having some Haunted Coffee- shop in my meer lined Dr Plumb. Pretty morning in Georgia. Third day with windows open enjoying the free airconditioning. I'm sure it won't last much longer, but I'll take it for now. Eat your heart out, Georgia Power!

Happy Wednesday! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Wednesday cob and coffee on the front porch. 60 and overcast here. The sun should return later in the afternoon. Mixed bag of stuff to do in the yard.
