Luxury Bullseye Flake in a “Park Square” Peterson & LJ Peretti Colab D17 – Dublin. Not too sure on the blend or the pipe. I will try the LBF in yet another pipe later, and try something else in this little Pete. So far, not really a fan of either one.

I’m continuing to smoke my small batch PS81 experiments. How is that working out? What type of experiments? First batch- 90% PS81, 10% Perique. Nice smoke, but the Perique is slightly overpowering some aspects of the lighter Virginia. Second batch- 94% PS81, 6% Perique, the one I’m currently smoking. Much closer to what I originally envisioned, but I may tweak it again slightly after I’ve smoked all of this. Third batch- 92% PS81, 6% Perique, 2% Latakia. Haven’t tried this yet, I’m giving it a little time in the jar to meld. I’m enjoying the results and having fun with it.

My wife and I went and planted flowers at the cemetery. Friar's Bayou in the Tuesday cob along for the ride. Now, relaxing a bit before I mow the lawn. More Friar's Bayou in the barrel-shaped meerschaum.

Had to finish out my smoking afternoon with a couple of my favorites, a bowl of Haunted Bookshop in one of my favorite pipes, my Morgan Gnarly Bones billiard. Both are always a sure bet for me. That's probably it for me until tomorrow.

The back lawn is trimmed and mowed. I'll do more odds and ends in back, and save the front for tomorrow. But, right now, it's time for some Haunted Bookshop in the Tuesday cob. A mug of cold water accompanies.

Good Evening! It's a beautiful 71° out here on the deck with low humidity, scattered white clouds, blue sky, and bright sunshine. Currently smoking a bowl of fresh Scottish Flake in the Stanwell Silver Mount blasted billiard with streaming rock oldies and a glass of cold water on the side.

Good Morning! It's a pleasant moring in N Georgia. Temperature is about 67F and very comfortable. It will climb to 83F later in the day, but for now it is near perfect. I enjoyed my morning on the front porch with a Nording Freehand Signature full of Otter Creek. Along with my usual morning black coffee. Wishing you all a splendid day! Sounds like a good start to the day.

I was in the mood for some Blairgowrie but didn't come across any in my cellar digging. I spotted a jar of Watch City Blue Ridge Special, though, and decided that would be a good change of pace from my usuals. Having some in the Tom Eltang Dublin:

I couldn't even remember what was in this blend, so I went back and looked it up:
Blue Ridge Special is a decidedly Scottish mixture based on ripe red Virginia leaf. Spiced gently with Latakia we have tempered with a unique process that takes the pungent edge off and adds a depth to its aromatic qualities. This blend shows off both the tangy sweetness of the red Virginias and the sweet smokey incense like flavor and aroma Of Cyprian Latakia.
I was thinking Scottish blends generally had a 3rd component to them -- a little cavendish or orientals or something. Anyway, early indications are that this blend is rather bitey.

I cut a few coins off an old Heinrich’s Curly Block that I found amongst the effects I rescued from my cellar during my move of a few years back. I’m guessing it is perhaps 5 or 6 years? It’ll go back in the cellar, and hopefully I’ll forget about it again for a few years. It only gets better, it seems. It deserved the 1964 Dunhill, where it smolders now.

Yeah, this was not a good experience. Bitey. Didn't want to burn. Flavor was odd. I finally just knocked it out and put that pipe away to rest.
Still in the mood for something a bit out of the normal routine, though, I'm having some Robert McConnell Shakespeare in the Golden Arrow billiard:
