[Russ's] Limerick Flake in [ Gypo ] Comoy's Grand Slam:
That is a really handsome pipe. Ted did a good job at finding it for me.

Good Morning! It's a cool 54° with a mostly cloudy sky here in our neighborhood and quiet as the sun rises from behind the trees. This afternoon I'll make a supermarket run. My first pipe of the smoking day is a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Savinelli Venere 128 rusticated billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Have a good one everybody!

Just lit up a bowl of the last of my stash of FVF from the day jar in the MM Mark Twain cob fitted with a long Vermont Freehand Forever Stem. Watching a 1951 movie on YouTube and slowly sipping my coffee.

Currently smoking a bowl of Wessex Brown VA Flake in the Savi rusticated billiard. Time to sip some more coffee and check the headline news.

Good morning all. I’m having a bowl of Old Gowrie in a Ser Jacopo Apple. It’s a beauty here today, sun, soft breeze and a mourning dove is cooing off in the distance. I’ll finish this pipe, take a quick dip in the pool, and then try to find something productive to do. I hope you all have a good one!

Hi, all. I'm getting a late start to my morning. I had an early morning appointment with the nurse to get my INR checked. It was a little thin, so I will need to eat a bit of greens this month to make it a tad thicker. Finally got home and made my coffee and enjoyed a nice smoke in my Peterson Donegal Rocky 80s. The tobacco was a mix of Peretti Whiskey cavendish and Carter Hall. Uneventful morning on the porch, although a pleasant one. Temperature is in the mid 60s right now, climbing to the upper 80s later in the day.
Wife is stuck in traffic on the interstate. She's been stuck for over an hour so far. Must have been a heck of a wreck north of where she is. She has checked in from time to time to let me know she is alright. I hope it clears soon.
Hope you all have a great day!

Happy Wednesday! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Wednesday cob and coffee on the front porch. I've moved to the back deck to enjoy the sun and breeze. 73 degrees, headed to 84.

That was the job she loved most.

I could easily do it myself if I had the tester, but insurance won't pay for it and it would cost me quite a bit more than just running up there once a month.

I smoked some HGL in an unsmoked Chacom Hexagone 859 Smooth Panel Pear that I bought from MBSD. Beautiful pipe, but I was wondering what the heck was the problem, wouldn't draw good for nothing. Got through smoking and tried to run a pipe cleaner through it and kept hitting a block about half way. I pulled it apart and found that there was a stinger in the "&*@!" thing. That stinger is not there now! It should smoke much better next time! That's what I get for smoking a pipe that is classier than I am.

Finger sticks are never as accurate as the real deal. Too much possibility on tissue fluid diluting the specimen. However, for an occasional check it's fine. I just wouldn't want my dosage changed without a lab result. Just one Lab Rat's opinion. 🙂

Got the front lawn trimmed, cut and edged. Taking a hydration break. Filled the meerschaum with Haunted Bookshop to accompany. There was an air show at the local base this past weekend. USAF Thunderbirds were the main event. I could hear them all weekend, but never caught a glimpse (we're about 8 miles south of the base). They just flew over the house heading south, then again as they headed north back to the base. Just a few hundred feet overhead. Quite a sight (and sound!).

The machine she used in the 60s was about the size of a large blender. The other method involved a stopwatch.

Good afternoon folks. My contractor came by to put a few finishing touches on the kitchen, so I retreated back to the pool deck to keep the dogs (and me) out of the way. It’s beautiful today, so it is no hardship. Figured I’d smoke some more Old Gowrie, this time in a Dunhill Prince. I’m glad we’re just about done with this year’s round of home renovations, as is my wallet. Have a good one.
