Had a rough evening last night. Practically no sleep at all. If I get myself going, I'll enjoy some SWRR later on. No sleep??? any idea why?...I went two nights in a row with no sleep, week before last, with C.O.P.D.; I set the pipes aside for the balance of the week, and as luck would have it, I had a sleep study already planned...the study showed no real new issues and my new BI-PAP is on the way. I did limit myself to no more than two pipes a day for a while...we give up so much for this joy of getting older, but I'm trying to hold on to my pipes. I'm inclined to think it's my medications... Probably the seizure meds. Or I'm worrying about a new cavity that was found on my molar... Not looking forward to a dental appointment. 😞. Thanks for asking.

On the front porch watching a nice sunset. Brown Clunee in the barrel-shaped meerschaum.

Good evening all. I have been smoking a few bowls throughout the day, but busy a bit. Jupe and I got a chance to hop in the pool at end of day, and now that everyone’s settled down I’m smoking a bowl of Hal Of the Wynd in a Peterson Dublin. I’ve held off on breaking into my old stash of Rattray’s until I could get some fresh to replenish the cellar, and it appears lately a new shipment has arrived. I enjoy this blend quite a bit, and hope you’re all enjoying this fine June eve.

In rearranging the tins in my cellar I found a tin of Stonehenge flake from 2017, I forgot I had. My last. I’m hesitant to crack it but probably will, and never see another. So goes it with blends we come to treasure (I.e. McClelland).

I have a few tins, not of the 2017 vintage, but more like 2021. Either way, no longer being made.

Moved to the back porch and turned on the festive lighting. There's one less beer in the cooler, and I'm smoking some Friar's Bayou in the barrel-shaped meerschaum.

Last pipe o' the night (?). Haunted Bookshop in the Thursday cob. Yup, still on the back porch. Not buggy, nice breeze. Still in the 70s. Reminds me of summer vacation when I was a kid. Only with tobacco and alcohol.

Good Morning! It's already 67° here with a partly cloudy sky. This afternoon I have a routine appointment with my orthopedic surgeon for X-rays just to make sure that my left hip replacement is still a tight fit. Starting off the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the BBB Two Star Special smooth billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the workshop tobacco table. Have a good one everybody!
