Good Afternoon! It's 80Β°, cloudy, very humid, and getting breezy out here on the deck. Rain has been in the forecast, but nothing so far and we're still under a tornado watch for the rest of the day. I just cleaned a couple of pipes while smoking a bowl of Scottish Flake in the MM Washington 5th Avenue cob and there's a glass of cold water on the side.

Iβm smoking my most recent mini blend experiment, 90% PS81, 6% Perique and 4% Tennessee Dark Fire Cured in a TV churchwarden. How's it smoking? Actually all of my PS81 experiments have been good and this one is no different. They have really been an effort to experiment with subtle condiment levels of tobaccos rather than a more βbrute forceβ approach that many of my extremely strong and bold blends have been. Iβve always liked PS81, it takes me back to my rolling days. Milder Virginias with a casing/topping that I like. It seemed perfect for this. So far, three out of my four experiments Iβve been much happier with than just PS81 alone and Iβm sure one of these when Iβm done is going to turn into a regular for me.

Good evening folks. My wife and I took an unplanned visit down to the Delaware Bay house. We usually are scarce here in June/July due to the green heads, but here we are. And so are the green heads. Luckily thereβs a stiff breeze.
My tin of Union Square is still in good shape, and itβs tasting good in a Sasieni billiard. Have a fine night friends.

First impressions of the lighter? It's okay. Mechanism is stiff, being new, and I'm waiting to see how long the tank lasts. It didn't seem like it took much butane when I filled it, so we'll see.
One thing I don't like about it, though, is the gas outlet actually points up, not sideways. It makes the design (mimicking an Old Boy) almost deceitful, to me. TBH, if I'd noticed that detail, I probably wouldn't have bought it.

Flavor was good, though. I looked up the constituent elements of that blend. Doesn't surprise me it had a strong effect on you. Have a sweet piece of chocolate and see if that helps?

C&D Odessa in a small Orlik Billiard on the patio with the lady and the dogs who would like to get their paws on Fireworks Guy. So would I, tbh.
Very still cool evening with ominous clouds. There were storms nearby. But as usual they went around us.

GH Brown Bogie in an antique French clay. You don't have so much a pipe collection as a pipe museum.

It's growing on me. I get flavors of what I would say is a wintergreen mintiness black licorice with a hint of vanilla on the exhale. I do get the perfume like taste but it is reminiscent of an old clubman pinaud aftershave that I liked.
