If you want a really good cherry blend without the chemical taste, try Wilke Cherry Cavendish. Made with real cherries. It's really good. I bought 2 ounces and smoked it in a week. I never reordered because I got distracted by some English blends. www.wilkepipetobacco.com/product-page/wilke-cherry-cavendishThat's different from their Very Cherry that Herb recommended?

I know what you mean with the Bite and taste with cherry cavendish blends.I will have to try that one out. When I have a taste for a cherry blend, I'll put some under a milder blend and stop when the cherry starts burning. You get the flavor without the bite. In the Per Jensen thread under the bulk offerings he says that the Burley would work nice as a mixer for something like that. “ Burley (ready-rubbed) - $34.99lbs Most of this blend is Burley, with just a little Virginia added. Burley is excellent at minimizing bite and adding strength to a blend. If you have found a perfect aromatic but feel the strength is a little weak, add some Burley. Or, if you have a blend, you find a little bite a bit, and you want to remove it, add some Burley.”

Good Morning! It's 63° with a partly cloudy sky here at dawn. This afternoon I have to take my wife to her doctor's appointment. My first pipe of the smoking day is HH Pure VA Flake in the BBB Two Star Special smooth billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the workshop tobacco table. Have a good one everybody!

Good Morning Again! It's 64° here with a clearing sky and sunshine streaming through the neighborhood trees. Today will be a hot one and the high temperature is going to be 90° so the a/c will get turned on early. Just lit up a bowl of Wessex Brigade Campaign Dark Flake in the MM General cobwarden. Time to sip some more coffee and check the headline news.

Good morning, I’m smoking some Royal Twist in a Dunhill billiard. My 2nd bowl of this blend, spicy but pretty nice. I have a feeling it will age well. Weather’s the same. Humid and 90’s again today. Hope you all have a good one!

Haunted Bookshop in the Monday cob on the back deck. Doing quiet work in the yard, before I break the morning's quiet with the lawn mower. I'll wait another hour before I do that.

Good Afternoon! It's 86° with a mix of clouds and sunshine out here on the deck. I just finished wrapping some thread tape on one of the new garden hose fittings and that should stop the leaking. Too hot to do anything else. Smoking a bowl of Scottish Flake in the Stanwell 29 smooth billiard and there's a glass of ice water on the side.
