Do not call Dan that in front of him. He hates it. Eric knows that and continues to do so thinking that he’s being cute but he isn’t. Yes sir. Duly noted. I personally didn't call him that and I will remember that in the future. I understand, and I mean no disrespect in any fashion towards anyone. The experience was very cool and intriguing. Thank you for recommending it also. No problemo. You’re cool. Just helping you avoid a pothole in the journey.

Storm Front in the Mastro da' Pa ja bent Dublin, Diet Coke on the side... a landmark day, Cerealpiper, I'm green with envy. Mastro da Paja is one I don't have. How's it smoke? This one is from the eighties. and came in a grocery bag full of estates I snagged along my way. It had a burnout the size of a bic pen when I got, but Dave Wolff of Walker Briar Works went over it with a fine tooth comb, filling the hole with his mix of briar dust and Super Glue, the matching the rustication and stain, and giving it a new bowl coating...it's been one of my best smokers since I first put a match to it.

Good Morning Again! It's 64° here with an almost clear sky and bright sunshine streaming through the neighborhood trees. I just lit up a bowl of my favorite VaPer, Bayou Morning Flake, in the MM Mark Twain cob. Time to sip some more coffee and check the headline news.

Good morning all, smoking a bowl of Inns of Court in a Peterson spigot, Apple bowl. I gave in to the urge to add another pipe to the collection, a Ser Jacopo calabash. I love the two Ser Jacopo pipes I own, so hopefully this will be a good addition. We’re stuck in a cycle of swampy July weather here, my least favorite time of year. So I’ll probably camp out in the air conditioning again today. Have a good one all!

Happy Sunday, folks! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Sunday cob and coffee on the back deck. Chatted a little with the neighbors. It's 74, headed to 83, sun and clouds, moderate humidity with a breeze that comes and goes. Lovely summer day. Nothing planned, but there's always stuff to do. I might mow the lawn today.

Newminster Very Cherry in the E. Wilkie billiard. This is much more enjoyable, for me, than the Lane product of the same name. This doesn't have the bite that so many cherry cavendish blends can have, nor does it have that sick chemical flavor found in the Lane Very Cherry, Y.M.M.V.

Friar's Bayou in the barrel-shaped meerschaum on the back deck. Tending the garden, picked some lettuce and dill, picked the last of the raspberries.

I smoke this blend from my local b&m an it's called hobbit weed and it's got some lanes very cherry but it still bites at times for me. I will try mixing some cherry blends with different milder blends and see how that does I do like the smell of cherry blends because my dad used to smoke Middleton cherry cigars the ones with the plastic tips and the smell reminds me of good times fishing with my dad as a kid.

Good Afternoon! It's 83° with medium humidity, a cool breeze, and a mix of large white clouds and sunshine out here on the deck. I finished installing Janet's new flexible garden hose and need to check the washer in one of the somewhat leaky fittings. Smoking a bowl of Scottish Flake in the Stanwell Silver Mount blasted billiard while listening to streaming light vocal jazz. A bottle of ice water is on the side.

Another bowl of Friar's Bayou in the barrel-shaped meerschaum. Fed the roses, tomatoes and eggplants, watered everything. Just relaxing now.

Sometimes when I have a sweet tooth, I'll add just a splash of cavendish (unflavored, chocolate, berry, etc) to something like Big N Burley. You get a satisfying hint of the flavor and it smokes like a non-aro.

I’m still smoking my PS81 experimental blends other than switching to a bowl of something different in the evening here and there. It’s actually kind of fun for me to have something new that I put together that I keep reaching for.

I might try that with a few different cavendish flavored tobaccos.

MacBaren HH Acadian Perique “ Virginia, burley, original cavendish, dark fired Kentucky, Oriental and Acadian Perique” The Perique is noticeable through the smoke, but in no way a Perique pepper bomb like the label might suggest.

Cherry tobaccos are a dime a dozen...if you look to Newminster, and an aromatic is in order, try a taste of the Blackberry Brandy, otherwise, 403 Superior Slices is not to be missed; just saying.

If you want a really good cherry blend without the chemical taste, try Wilke Cherry Cavendish. Made with real cherries. It's really good. I bought 2 ounces and smoked it in a week. I never reordered because I got distracted by some English blends. www.wilkepipetobacco.com/product-page/wilke-cherry-cavendish
