Somewhat panicking after noticing that Gawith Hoggarth Kendal Flake has been removed from SmokingPipes listing. Lost several Gawith blends the past decade and it’s one of my favorites that I only have about half a pound remaining. I’m smoking 2020 Pease Union Square in a 2020 Ardor Urano Fantasy Saxophone w/ a silver ferrule and Delrin tenon. Indeed. It was officially discontinued as per Rachel Gawith's confirmation on another forum. I find this sad as it's also one of my favorites. Its casing is superb. Ah man, I passed up restocking it the last drop I saw. I can’t believe they discontinued it.

Especially if one is a unique favorite. I'd cry actual tears if they discontinued Bob's CF.

She’s made too many changes to the traditional the past few years since taking over and I thought production would improve since Laudisi becoming the US distributor. We’ve not been able to get Grasmere for many years in the US and yet it’s still available in the UK. Prices just ticked up to over $100 for 500g now for most all the blends. If anyone’s got a pound of Kendal Flake with only 1-3 years of age on it, I’ve got a $100 bill with your name on it if you’re willing to part ways with it. At any rate, yet another pipe tobacco loss out of left field. I have to pour one out (smoke one) for the fallen favorite, so next up smoking some 2021 Kendal Flake in a Kaywoodie Saxon sandblasted panel billiard.

On the back deck with a bowl of Friar's Bayou in the barrel-shaped meerschaum. Puttering in the garden.

Good Afternoon! It's 80° with a cool breeze and a mix of big white clouds and sunshine out here on the deck. Just a nice Summer day. Smoking a bowl of Scottish Flake in the MM Washington 5th Avenue cob while listening to streaming light vocal jazz and there's a glass of cold water on the side.

All of these blends passing into history is quite sad to me, especially since a good fifteen years of my pipe smoking was mostly GH and SG blends. I currently have a lifetime supply of most of them though. I’m not interested in clearing out my Kendal Flake stock, but if you find yourself really wanting a bit more, I’d be happy to send you a few ounces.

At our son's house. Had more Friar's Bayou in the barrel-shaped meerschaum. Now, some Haunted Bookshop in the Saturday cob. The ladies are putting together centerpieces for the wedding shower. Son and I are staying out of the way on the patio with a couple cold refreshments.

Limerick Flake hasn't been in stock at my usual suspects, but I placed my last order with Cup 'O Joes and picked up a couple of tins. I don't want to tap into the few tins in my cellar.

I've still got a couple more tins from my first order, so I haven't been checking on it. Hopefully it's available by the time I really "need" some more.

Im smoking some Darwin Asa which is an english blend in my brand new sorta custom cayuga pipe. I feel very blessed today I went to pauls pipe shop with members of my pipe club Eric and Tracy today. I got a full tour of the place and got to see where they do repairs and make the cayuga pipes. I saw over a thousand pounds of pipe tobacco no joke. What an amazing experience I bought a cayuga nose warmer and I didn't like the short stem so Dan the "Pipe god" made me a new stem right then to my exact wants. I will figure out how to post pictures soon.

I personally didn't call him that and I will remember that in the future. I understand, and I mean no disrespect in any fashion towards anyone. The experience was very cool and intriguing. Thank you for recommending it also.

Son and his future bride met up with us for dinner, then came back to the house for a little fire on the patio. Alternated between Haunted Bookshop and Friar's Bayou. Wrapping things up with Friar's Bayou in the barrel-shaped meerschaum. Beautiful summer night.

Good Sunday Morning! It's a cool 63° and cloudy here at dawn. This afternoon I have to go to Home Depot and pick up a fitting so that I can install my wife's new garden hose. Starting off the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the BBB Freestyle smooth bent billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the workshop tobacco table. Have a good one everybody!
