Riverboat Gambler in the barrel-shaped meerschaum on the front porch. Watching the neighbor mow the lawn. How's he doing? Correct technique? She's a butcher, makes a huge mess. Grass blows out from under the mower onto the driveway. Goes as fast as she can. Then, spends more time sweeping than she did mowing.

Smoking some three star blue in my Falcon pipe. Smoking before I make some pizzas. I got everything prepped the dough is just about ready. I fed the yeast honey instead of sugar.

After-dinner smoke will be on the road, as I have to step out for a couple hours. Haunted Bookshop in the Tuesday cob. I'll have my pouch of Friar's Bayou for the drive home.

2018 Fribourg & Treyer Vintage flake in a Krisswill Danish Clipper lovat. Already reminiscing about a bunch of conversations with folks at NASPC and looking forward to heading up to Paul’s soon, and even considering Richmond. It may be the last year there. Had a couple funny moments where I was vindicated and recognized as the guy who called out Eight State for being “egregiously topped,” and also several industry guys that vouched that Mac Baren HH Pure Virginia is loaded with casing and flavors. Secret stories about the undisclosed “private” Sutliff warehouse that still houses a bunch of Mcclelland leaf. I saw pictures of some McClelland 1992 I think it was Dominican Virginia leaf by the cases and pallet load. Even Jeremy Reeves can’t know where it is. Sutliff still gets the same VA leaf McClelland said was gone. It was sort of a white lie/fib because Mike and Mary really needed to retire. Legendary info from the legends themselves. Are you going to pauls in the end of September? The 76th IAPSC World Championship Pipe Smoking Contest and pipe show is not held at Paul's Pipe Shop. If you show up there that day, you will be very confused. It is held at the Genesee County Compassion Club on the north edge of Flint. We will be able to smoke inside and have a bar, full kitchen, and bathrooms. We can rent a former cafe space there for a very reasonable rate. The main part of the facility is a cannabis smoking club. In Michigan, they are required to get a standard smoking exemption which allows tobacco smoking. 😎 It is extremely hard to find indoor smoking space in Michigan due to our smoke free workplace law (no smoking wherever two or more paid employees are present; even patios)

It's really cool how yall got a venue for this event that allows indoor smoking. It's gonna be a great weekend! Friday evening is my favorite time. It’s just fellowship time while we set up. Fellowship means sit around, smoke pipes, and swap stories and lies. The Saturday evening dinner is a buffet which Eva puts together for which the $15 cost is a deal.

johnlawitzke - Yep, I was talking about first visiting Paul’s in general and lining up a date with you guys, though it will likely happen that I get to IAPSC first, and make sure I go to the right place. I’m just finishing a bit of leftover 2018 Vintage flake in the Kriswill Danish Clipper lovat from earlier.

After-dinner smoke will be on the road, as I have to step out for a couple hours. Haunted Bookshop in the Tuesday cob. I'll have my pouch of Friar's Bayou for the drive home. Hey Pete I think I already asked this but I was wondering what the mix ratio is for your friar bayou. It's 50 % Three Friars, 30% Low Country Virginia-Burley and 20% Bayou Morning.

Good Morning! It's 58° with a clear sky here at first light. Just some laundry on The List for this afternoon. The smoking day has begun with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Don Carlos smooth bent Two Note and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath the fleece blanket. Have a good one everybody!
