Good morning all. Having another bowl of Navigator after cleaning the pool. My time ratio of maintaining the pool to actually swimming in it is about 10:1. First world problem I know. It’s another beauty today here but I think humidity is forecast to tick up over the next few days. I’ll take whatever nice weather I can get in August.

I drained mine 2 summers ago and have hardly missed it.

Mornin' ... RRR in a GBD Pre-historic Pot with Perspex stem and coffee to drink. (Rattray's Red Rapparee) At long last, I now know what " RRR " is , I was clueless, as I am about so many things ... Still F.M.O.T.T. in the little pot, after a pipe cleaner or two, heading out to the front porch, coffee in hand.

Happy Wednesday! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Wednesday cob and coffee on the front porch. I've done a walk through the garden and moved to the back deck. More picking to do, tending the potted plants, then mowing the lawn. It's 74, sunny, a bit humid with a light breeze here.

Good Afternoon! It's 80° with low humidity, some clouds around the edges, and bright sunshine out here on the deck. Smoking a bowl of Scottish Flake in the MM Washington 5th Avenue cob and there's a glass of cold water on the side.

Had a bite to eat. Time for another bowl of Friar's Bayou in the barrel-shaped meerschaum before I mow the lawn. A mug of cold water on the deck table.

How's he doing? Correct technique? She's a butcher, makes a huge mess. Grass blows out from under the mower onto the driveway. Goes as fast as she can. Then, spends more time sweeping than she did mowing. My mower blows grass onto the driveway and I just drive up and back on the driveway to blow it back. There's really now way to manicure my "lawn".

Dinner cooked, eaten and washed down with a glass of Chardonnay. After-dinner smoke time. Haunted Bookshop in the Wednesday cob on the back deck. Reflecting on a fairly busy day, for me anyway. A glass of wine accompanies.
