Good Morning! It's 64° with a cloudy sky here at very first light and a cold front has swept into the region bringing along lower, more comfortable temperatures. This afternoon I think that I'll catch up on some work for my postcard blog and also take advantage of the cooler weather with a couple of pipe breaks out on the deck. The smoking day has begun with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Upshall smooth quarter-bent Dublin and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the workshop tobacco table. Have a good one everybody!

Just lit up a bowl of Bayou Morning Flake in the MM Mark Twain cob while slowly sipping my coffee. Time to check the headline news.

Happy Monday! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Monday cob and coffee on the front porch. It's 67, partly sunny, lower humidity and very breezy here. Only supposed to reach 70-72 degrees. Very comfortable day for outdoor activities. Gonna check on things in the garden.

Good Morning Again! It's 67°, damp, breezy, and with a cloudy sky out here on the deck. I think that I'll order some more tobacco today. Smoking a bowl of Limerick Flake in the Stanwell Silver Mount blasted billiard with leftover coffee in the travel mug. Time to read my book.

I found this "tit bit" on tobaccoreviews.com while perusing a review of Sutliff's: Molto Dolce. The reviewer was presumably referring to the room note.
"If you catch a woman staring at you while you're smoking Dolce, chances are she's wanting to wrap her lips around your pipe."
I thought the comment was rather close to the bone.

Chili's simmering on the stove. Beans go in a little later. The Castello is relaxing in the pipe spa. I'm on the front porch with a bowl of Friar's Bayou in the barrel-shaped meerschaum.

Good Afternoon! It's 67° and still damp, breezy, and with a cloudy sky out here on the deck. I placed my tobacco order earlier and decided to expand my tobacco repertoire to include two familiar blends: Peterson MM965 and C&D Haunted Bookshop. MM965 was my favorite English and I've smoked a lot of it in the past when it was a Dunghill brand. Haunted Bookshop is my favorite burley blend and I haven't smoked that in a good while. These will be dedicated to the cobs. I also ordered a 100g tin of HH Pure VA Flake and a new pipe tool to replace the one that fell into the workshop floor black hole. Currently smoking a bowl of Scottish Flake in the MM Washington 5th Avenue cob with a glass of cold water on the side.

Good evening, finally sitting down for a quick pipe of Inns of Court in a Peterson bent billiard. It’s pouring rain and we just got back from taking the pups to the vet for some maintenance. Perfect timing for wrestling dogs in and out of the car and the vets office in a driving rain. We’re supposed to get some cool weather the rest of the week, it’ll be nice to open the windows. Have a good one all.

Finishing up a bowl of orlik golden slice in my mm country gentleman cob. Then gonna smoke some of my friend Eric Karloski's personal blend called double fudge brownie in my savinelli 606ks. It smells amazing. Yesterday I got to go and help blend up the last batch he will beable to make due to the tobacco that is used is no longer available. Correction- Double Fudge Brownie was designed by former FCPS member Robert "RobE" Bartholomew and was one year's FCPS blend of the year. Eric's contribution was finding the out of production ingredients to make a new batch. Les was telling me that story at the show.

Yes, it turns out that Les had several pounds of the out of production D&R Acadian Perique which is a major ingredient in the blend. With that, a new batch is possible.
